on that QB sneak he reached 20.64 mph, the 8th fastest ball carrier of the week in the entire NFL. Ran a 4.81 at the combine. He looks a hell of a lot faster than a 4.8, he was running away from landon collins.
Did all that working out in the off-season, adding 9 lb of muscle, add speed to him?
Also, at 6'5- he is a long-strider. Half of the battle with the 40 is how you get out of the gate, meaning it demonstrates acceleration just as much as it does top end speed. Daniel is more of a top speed guy.
That's exactly what I thought. I was telling "RUN" At the TV on that play. Apparently he didn't hear me.
That is absolutely true.
Agreed. Case in point, when he threw that pick against LA. He can be Josh Allen with accuracy. On the Read options I think he hands off far too often. He isnt a small guy. Would love to see him get outside more often when the LB dives inside.
Simple and 100 percent the truth. Adrenaline is real
Daniel Jones Max Speed with the ball in 2020: 20.64 MPH
+1 ... I’ve said this for the last few weeks ... there’s still something missing between DJ and JG, and it’s more than not having skill at the skill positions, You can see in eyes that he’s not yet totally comfortable in the offense. As for speed, didn’t he flat outrun Landon Collins and just barely get caught by the CB?

That is absolutely true.
Especially when you are being chased in a strange neighborhood...

Last year he would’ve taken off. He’s not seeing everything this year and that tells me he isn’t comfortable

He isn't comfortable unleashing the ball anymore into tight windows because they are trying to cut down on the interceptions. Whether this is a good strategy remains to be seen. Progress isn't always linear.
