October 20 Fantasy Football Thread: Waivers and Results

if Jonnu Smith doesn't play my team takes a big hit (with Ertz who sucks + hurt).

Eyeing a good DST pickup this week. Miami was a no brainer last week but this options this week are pretty shitty. May roll the dice with Tampa at Vegas - hoping the big win and long layoff for LV will make them come out flat.

with the 7th highest total Points For and the highest total Points Against. Thankfully, the #6 seed in our playoffs is designated for the highest total regular season score of remaining teams, so I'm still pretty much alive.

There's almost no viable waiver pickups in my league with 10 bench spots, but B.Scott is still available, so I'll put in $10 for him although I'm sure someone will put $20+ on him.

FLEX: D.Slayton, L.Shenault

Bench: J.Taylor (bye), J.Kelley, Z.Moss, J.Williams, C.Thompson, M.Williams, C.Davis, M.Valdez-Scantling, C.Wentz

If I pick up B.Scott, he'll take Shenault's spot.

cause I was up and he had Cooper going. That last garbage time TD gave me a loss (and a lost night of my life). whatchagonnado?

Is J.Smith expected to miss any time? Not sure...I may pick him up so that the owner with J.Smith won't have him available.

I needed A.Dalton to score me 40 points...we saw how that went...yuck.

If he's expected to miss any significant time, I'd prioritize Gus Edwards, even over Boston Scott.

I like Edwards, but...BAL is on a bye this week, so obviously doesn't help if you need immediate help (like me who lost Sanders and has Taylor on a bye) the bye would give Ingram more time to heal if it's not too serious and I feel like they love Dobbins and Jackson still runs a lot himself.

But I'd put in a claim for him (but not allocate too much) if Ingram is out for an extended period.

Josh Allen did not play that well
Mixon was Meh
Chase Edmonds did basically nothing
OBJ did nothing (duh)
Robert Woods was not bad
Crowder was below average for him
Jonnu Smith did nothing
My defense and kicker also sucked and combined for a net zero points

I had Michael Thomas, Godwin and Chubb on my bench due to their respective situations. James White was also on my bench and while I couuld have inserted him as a flex replacing OBJ, it would not have made a difference.

Just a really bad week...

think it's worth trading Tyler Boyd for Devonta Freeman (PPR)?

Keenan Allen

I think the bottom two get more targets than the rest and I think Boyd has the worst situation but they're all pretty close.

With Taylor on a bye and Sanders hurt, my only other option on roster for RB2 is Zack Moss.

With Scott, unless your really desperate. I’m la Sanders owner too, although I’m lucky enough to have the deepest RB depth in my league so I can work around him (A.Jones, Robinson, Taylor and was able to scoop Swift off waiver from some idiot who dropped him before he blew up).

I’m dropping Colts D for Tampa. Think Tampa’s Def is pretty legit ROS. Thoughts?

I hate that Eagle offense. Seems like the only guy you'd start on a weekly basis would be Fulgham (picked him up a couple weeks back and may start him over JuJu in one league).

Quirky too. Miles Sanders drops a sure TD and also fumbles at the goal line.

Mike Geskicki somehow doesn't have a catch against the Jets, but both back up TEs have TDs?

Meanwhile my opponent had crazy good luck. Like Kelce's second TD was after KC's TD the play before was called back because of a hold.

Oh, well, it happens. I have the highest point total in my league and am 3-3.

I think that's not a decent trade. D.Freeman is the clear #1 RB for the Giants, and while it's on a bad team, he is the primary ball carrier. T.Boyd gets good target numbers, but there are a lot of mouths to feed on that Bengals team.

At least you didn't make the D.Freeman (along with M.Williams and J.Williams) trade like me trading away J.Jones (I absolutely hated Jones this season since he's done nothing for me) because I'm pretty desperate for a RB and see him actually giving me better return than Jones in the long run. Live and learn.

And didn't really need to involve DeAndre Hopkins so it made up for the fact that Andy Dalton had barely more points against Arizona as he did against us until the final TD. Put me in sole possession of 1st Place at 5-1.

Top 6 make the playoffs. Currently 7 teams are 3-3 or better, but the 2 teams that are more than a handful of points below me are 4-2 (although I do play one of them in Week 12 - the team with the fewest points scored, but she also the fewest points agains. If I played her every week I would currently be 4-2, but one of those losses was to her in Week 1).

After this week, all of my positions where I only have one player (D/ST, TE, K) will have had their bye weeks. About the only minor move I may make is that with how Tennessee's offense has looked do I chance Pittsburgh's D or, if available for nothing on FA, do I pick up someone like the Chargers who are coming off a bye and playing Jacksonville.

Didn't think I had a prayer considering my opponent had four going last night, with three being pretty decent. He just needed to score more than 37 points. With Josh Allen not showing up, Zeke fumbling a lot, and Zuerlein not doing much, I got the win. Incredible. Did not think it was possible. Woohoo!!

Now I have to cope with injury replacements and a lot of players on bye. Fun

I'm not a fan of that Chargers' backfield. I was all in on J.Kelley, then J.Jackson comes back and messes it all up. However, even with Jackson being the 3rd down back and seemingly the favorite, he loses enough touches to Kelley for me not to feel too comfortable with him. I think D.Freeman is a better choice being that he is the clear #1, which gives him more volume even if D.Lewis does come in on 3rd downs.

a one week plug and then my bye week issues are done and I have to hope no injuries.

I might bite the bullet and just put in a bid for Boston Scott, like him or not, he probably has a decent floor.

I'd like to get Freeman, so I'll keep that trade offer out there (Tyler Boyd for Freeman and I'd be willing to improve on it a little bit).

But I'll hope one of those two works out.

My RB's were once a strength. Jacobs, Sanders, Taylor, J-Rob, and Moss. I traded J-Rob and then byes and injuries are happening.

I have the #4 waiver priority should I use it on Ruggs or Tampa Def? There are some other solid defenses (chargers and Bears), I don’t know if I trust Carr to much though. Also the likely drop for me would be Stafford but love his matchup this week. Here’s my team 12 team PPR:

WR: Jones, Parker, Slayton, Green
RB: A Jones, Sanders, Taylor, Robinson, Swift
TE: Gesicki and Fant
K: Gano
Def: Colts

Have a killer team but injuries and having the most PA in my league has me at 3-3, wins are important moving forward.

I don't think I'd use a high waiver priority on a D unless the D is lights out. TB D is good, not sure what their schedule is like the rest of the way though or if you will find yourself dropping them in a week or two.

I would drop Stafford for a good waiver option, not sure a D is it, maybe Ruggs, or other player.

I have R.Wilson, so I didn't need Tannehill, and I wanted to sell CEH while his price was high from last night.

I think the Bell thing is scaring people but Bell can't do what CEH did lastnight. Bell is going to eat more into DW's role than CEH's, IMO.

Kelce is a good get and if you can afford no CEH then that's fine. But that's a lot to give up, IMO.

Yeah...I may have pulled the trigger early, but CEH has been so so with some good games and some below average games. At least Kelce gives me consistent high performance in my position of weakness. I'm not the strongest in my RB position, but with J.Taylor and D.Freeman (I'm riding Freeman all the way) along with J.Kelley, L.Fournette, and J.Williams, I think it's serviceable.

fantastic trade IMO

I'd make that trade all day if you have the RB depth to not need CEH.

Kelce is the best FF TE in the game and based on FF points in my league would be the 6th best WR.

If it is PPR I would definitely say Boston Scott. The Giants D has struggled with the more elusive RB's. WFT moved on offense when they took out Barber and used McKissic.

I would have to go either Peterson or Scott (Scott is my choice although he screwed everyone at the beginning of the season). Although Bernard is a possibility if Mixon is out.
