I actually think these 2 could work together. Carton as the buffoon and Evan as the knowledgeable host.

Except the way our fucked up systems is he pretty much pays it off like its a fucking student loan. Essentially 10 percent of anything above a certain amount (generally basic living expenses) goes to paying restitution. I believe thats the way those generally work. Pretty sure Jordan Belfort has a similar thing goin on.
I'm glad he'll make money to pay back his creditors, but other than that, this show is a "no" for me.
If it happens, I will listen to see what the dynamic is like. But I am not optimistic on long tern success.

Should he get such a high profile job again? I have mixed feelings about that, but there's a really easy way to voice your opinion about it - don't tune in and don't purchase any products promoted during their show. That's how media works.
But let's be honest... you're going to tune in. And if they happen to promote a product you like, you're gonna buy that, too. And then you'll wonder how such a "know nothing" got his job back.

But let's face it, Beningo and Somers are aging and Francesa's on-again/off-again/on-again retirement sort of ratfucked them in afternoon drive time. They haven't got a deep bench of appealing, provocative hosts, and the CBS Sports Radio people are a flashback to the bad old days of early WFAN, much too national and not very interesting for a NY sports fan.
I don't envy the station management. They have a lot of problems.

It's very tough to find people who are authentic, energetic, compelling and provocative — and who'll stick around.
Now, my dilemma is how to tell them my views. I can't find contact information for Chernoff or the station.
And to the above poster- Carton is a "know nothing". He's also schtick and lacks any in depth sports knowledge. I'm sure people will tune in at first but this will not last.

Well then, no worries - bad ratings and poor ROAS by show sponsors will ensure that Carton's return will be short-lived.
My favorite part of the doc though is that Jerry Recco and Al Dukes drive to work together every morning. Idk why, but that was heartwarming and hilarious.
Carton is a true scumbag through and through. A short stint in white collar prison isn't changing that.
