NFT: UFC 254 - Khabib vs. Gaethje

If Gaethje can keep the fight standing, he should be able to win. His striking and courage in the pocket are nuts. He's got to use his footwork, be first to the strike, keep his head off the center line, and avoid the takedown. His wrestling, grappling, and takedown defense will be tested and he needs to hold up and stay off his back. If he can't, Khabib will control and pound him to victory.

He's absorbed a ton of damage in his UFC fights, and one of these days his chin won't hold up. Not sure Khabib's the one to test it.

Think Whittaker sets up himself up for a rematch with Adesanya, but seems they're really testing the market for Adesanya/Jones. Don't see him moving up to fight Jones yet tho. Too many of the top UFC champs are looking at money fights, rather than defending their crowns.

every round begins standing up. This always gives Gaethje an advantage. No matter how bad things are in a round, if he can get to the next one, he will be in a better position to start.

Still, I hope for a Khabib win, especially given his father's passing and the tremendous influence his father had on him.

these guys "retire" all the time in combat sports, but this one feels real. What an incredible career. Hope it isn't the last we see of him, but I don't know what else he has to prove. Would have loved to see him vs. Tony but I'm sure it would have been a similar result.

I must admit my interest in recent months has dipped. Few PPVs have been worth the coin.

I paid. Whiticker (I am spelling that grossly wrong) had an absolutely incredible fight. Everything else was ehhh. The first round of khabib was actually really good just dude doesn’t tolerate mistakes.

He will come back for gsp but man is khabib the worst.
