only because I shot 68 their (was my best round ever). Other notables: St. Andrews Old, New and Jubilee course (Liked the New course better than the Old), Carnoustie Links, Seapines/HHI, South Carolinas collegiate home course Cobblestone Park is pretty nice too. There's just too many to name one, sorry.
And two New England tracks, meadow brook in Wyoming Rhode Island....(Seth McFarland pic and autograph in club house) and Stowe acres south course in Stowe mass.....both are best this time if year with the explosive colours reflecting in their still water features,,,,,and uncrowded t times!
Ha. The same two for me as well. Was in line to play St Andrews about 8 years ago and the night before we were going to play, my colleague's father passed away and we headed home.

That’s awful. I’ve played most of the big names in Ireland and Wales, but have never made it to Scotland. PS ... Wales is an underrated golf destination — not as touristy as Ireland and Scotland, and equally spectacular scenery and bunch of great courses (especially Royal Porthcawl and Pennard (which was about $70 US). The only downside is you’ve got to watch your back late night in the pubs ... seems like brawling is the national sport.
8 of us flew down on a Sunday and played the original Sawgrass that afternoon. The next day we show up at TPC Sawgrass. We were the only people there. We were allowed to practice as long as we wanted. Then they sent our foursome out 45 minutes apart. A 2-some blew thru us on the back nine. The only other person we saw all day was the cart lady.
* Baltusrol - Grew up caddying there (playing on Mondays) and have played a few times since.
* Ross Bridge - Did a buddies trip to the RTJ Golf trail which I recommend. If you're playing in Birmingham also check out Pursell Farms even though it's not on the trail.
* Cabo de Sol - Can't remember if I played the Ocean or Desert course, but it was spectacular. Tons of ravines and I think I shot a 106 or something stupid (I'm a 13 handicap). Awesome round, none the less.
in the 2 rounds i've played there i've birdied all 4 par 3's and all 4 par 5s
in fairness the par 3s and par 5s are not very difficult there. 17 (par 5) is tough but the par 3s arent bad
I used to work at Baltusrol one summer back when I was in high school (long time ago!). A couple of us would take a cart out after we finished and would get in almost 9 holes before the late summer sun would go down.
Fabulous old style course. Great trees lining each of the holes. Memories.

The RTJ Trail is a great guys road trip. We started mid state, worked our way south, then finished up with two nights in New Orleans.

Also love the Crystal Springs courses in north jersey wild turkey and ballyowen
Check, please. It’s over.
Nice. My parents retired to Jupiter in 1990 and I’ve played quite a few in that area .., never got a whiff of The Big S though.

I'm young, in my lifetime I definitely planning on knocking out a lot of the clubs mentioned previously
We-he-he-ll, look who knows a big shot!

hell, I like my home course
Castle Stuart
Prestwick
Cabot Links
PGA National
This is probably what the rankings would say, but they don't align with my favorites except that Dornoch is an easy #1.
