for Shepard to NOT play after all this, seemingly his roster spot could have been used by someone else tonight if they really weren't totally sure he was going to play

He is playing. Just heard that he will likely be given limited snaps.
Look forward to seeing him back on field as they clearly need more options for Jones. Shep is typically good for a few good 3rd down conversions when you need it.
We really need Shepard to be effective. If Slayton & Shepard can be effective it gives Jones some options. Jones had no one to throw to outside of Slayton last week.

Can be our Edelman/Amendola/Hogan.
Let’s throw in a little Beasley too ... I think this guy is going to stick and become one of DJs most trusted targets.
You forgot Wes Welker... and Joe Jurevicius... and John Mistler. 🙄
Garrett knew how to use Beasley ... I don’t think he coached the others... and I’m not sure you should put a Welker in the same category as Jurevicious and Mistlet.
Curious to see if he gets on the field tonight. It seemed like he was making plays during camp and was surprised he got cut. Too bad we didn’t have any exhibition games, as I like to evaluate the draft picks and tryout players.
Theyre up to 5 WR's again. Slayton, Shepard, Tate, Mack, and now Bachman.
This could mean Giants play a lot of empty backfield. I hope Jones doesn't get killed back there.
I didn't even think about that, but that would be a great move. We haven't put much of that out there this year, it would certainly catch the Eagles off guard in a pivotal game. I'd be a big fan.
Question: how many of these guys are ideally slot WRs?
:-)
I see what you did there.

Shepard and Bachman are better in the slot.

Beasley worked well in Dallas. I think he can stick here if his hands are up for it.
No, that’s Victor.
Or maybe David Sills

Bachman might be a better option.
