Defense has surpassed expectations, I think Graham is a very bright defensive mind.
But this team has a fundamental flaw in the way it is constructed and even the stats back it up.
Giants allow 3.6 yards per play on first down, NFL average is around 5.5.
But...Giants also have the worst 3rd down defense in the league.
Why?
3 of the Giants best players on defense are interior DL. I've seen multiple 3rd down snaps where not a single one of them were on the field. An over-investment in the interior DL and lack of resources devoted to impact EDGE rushers.
Also send Nate Ebner the Safety to the moon. There is no reason why that guy should ever see defensive snaps in an NFL game.
But just something I noticed. I'm sure this would be a bigger issue if the Giants ever had to play with an actual lead

It isn't just the Giants, apparently there's a league-wide problem.
