no one would want Evan engram he's a worthless sack of fucking garbage. What would he do? What value does this bag of fucking trash have? And anybody that fucking thought he was good as a fucking idiot
Once. JUST ONCE I'd like us to beat the Eagles. All we do is get crushed and lose heartbreakers to them. I'm sick of that fucking team. Same thing with the Cowboys.
we got so lucky to not have the PI called against when the Eagles were poised to take a 17-14 lead. This is a loser team who has only beat the lowly Redskins and even then much like in this game they were marching it at will against our better unit at the end of the game

There is nowhere left to hide, and DJ is not the one to blame. Time to fire Gettlemen, and trade everyone you can. Take as many picks as possible. Put in any young player you have and get your evaluations ready.
I had zero confidence they were winning the game, even up 21-10.
Engram was just the guy who made the bad play today. They should have put up many more points in the first half. Can't pretend like it's one play that lost us the game. People do a lot of picking and choosing of "oh if not for this one play or that one play" we lose because the majority of the plays we run consistently are worse than the other teams.
No ref conspiracy, no scapegoating one player or another. The sum of what we have in this organization is garbage, it's been garbage.
Jones elevated the team for the entire second half, and played like a top 10 qb. I would love to have seen him finish the game off with a winning FG drive. But in reality, he had the dagger shot to engram and did have the game winning drive in hand, literally.

and have finished all their close games with fumbles or interceptions. Jones is certainly not making a case to be the guy next year! That was sickening to see.
don't care about the fumble at the end. There were only 34 seconds left. We were unlikely to get into FG range. Jones played fantastically. So did Gallman. He ran very tough.
Thomas was atrocious. He should be benched. At a minimum, the Giants should give him some help with a RB or TE.
Our receivers can't separate.
The defense was also good enough.
We just don't have nearly enough talent to overcome the litany of mistakes we make every week.
Somebody said that Zeitler and Tate might be traded. That's fine, but I'd also try and trade Engram and Peppers.
And Lewis giving up the 59 yard pass not ever paying attention cost us this one. We really don't have much talent at all. No pass rush, no big play receivers, no secondary besides Bradbury, 1 lb in Martinez. A #4 pick who has been awful. Gosh I'm depressing myself
Once. JUST ONCE I'd like us to beat the Eagles. All we do is get crushed and lose heartbreakers to them. I'm sick of that fucking team. Same thing with the Cowboys.
Lemme' ask again, how would you guys prefer to lose, by blowouts, or a nail biter? I'm torn...
Combination of Giants looking like contender for worst team for the next decade and the babying down of contact could finish me with the NFL after 60 years.
I had zero confidence they were winning the game, even up 21-10.

Please don't tell me how well the D played for 3 quarters. Please don't point to Gallman looking good. The bottom line is this TEAM sucks. They have their best drive of the season to go up by 11 with 6 minutes left. That should enough almost any week. But, this fucking D folded like a cheap suit, Engram choked, and then we have to have the obligatory OL meltdown and the game sealing fumble.
Do I put the game on Jones? No. But, that doesn't make that fumble make me just roll my eyes and say, "of course he fumbled." Yeah, he played well overall and made a few big plays. But, he is not above criticism for his 2 turnovers. The whole team stinks.
Can't win down the stretch anymore, can't make important stops, never have any luck, draft picks under-perform, owner lost on what to do....I can go on.
This is not new. It's been this way for a long while now and I don't see any reason to think it will change either. They're a dead franchise.
You want something positive? I'll give you some positives
Here's another positive: Another loss is another nail in Gettleman's coffin.
And I'll give you one more: This team is devoid of talent and even if we did win the NFC East, we wouldn't get past the first round. Sorry, but we wouldn't. This team lacks talent to even make a surprise run. So yeah, a higher draft pick, though if Gettleman is in charge, you can be damn sure that pick will amount to nothing.
Once. JUST ONCE I'd like us to beat the Eagles. All we do is get crushed and lose heartbreakers to them. I'm sick of that fucking team. Same thing with the Cowboys.

A blowout. Why? Because at least I can have a self-deprecating chuckle over how pathetic this team is.
but I didn't think it was a straight drop by Engram. The ball went off the tips of his fingers, and it would have been a tough grab.
He probably should have laid out for it to give himself a better chance, but I think a lot of people are coloring their view of that play based on the commentary of Aikman and their bias against Engram.
Look, I loved that long run. Loved the TD to Shepard. Loved some nice throws. The loss isn't on him. But, it was still the play that ended the game. It was still yet another fumble. It was still a 2nd turnover in a game, which happens quite a bit. He didn't lose the game, but he is not above criticism.
Magnificent effort by Jones, wasted by this fool Engram.
Remenber who drafted him?
Are you seriously griping about the three-years-fired Jerry Reese right now? Guess what - if Mr Magoo had wanted to get rid of Engram, it would have been well within his ability to do so at any time.
Giants had a 79.2% chance of winning after the facemask on the Eagles
but I didn't think it was a straight drop by Engram. The ball went off the tips of his fingers, and it would have been a tough grab.

That ball was perfectly thrown. It was dropped right on him and it was a great call by Garrett. Engram dropped an easy fucking catch.
I was really thinking I was wrong on Danny, but he once again fumbles after holding the ball to long.
Engram is a joke, he’s not a playmaker, and gets to many opportunities. You don’t throw to him on a crucial 3rd down. Poor call by the coaches, he’s not a “Player”. He just an athletic kid that should be used sparingly.
Kudos to the D. They played well, but gave a big play at a crucial moment. There just missing a few more pieces to make them legit.
Overall, we need to draft heavy on D moving forward, we’re stuck with Jones who is just an average QB, and we need to hope Barkley can carry this team when he returns.
is even at 10-7 I really liked how they were playing. Felt like maybe we had something with this defense. Then we get to 21-10 and like a sucker I'm starting to think there's maybe a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Nope. Same old same old.
we got so lucky to not have the PI called against when the Eagles were poised to take a 17-14 lead. This is a loser team who has only beat the lowly Redskins and even then much like in this game they were marching it at will against our better unit at the end of the game
we haven't stopped the offense we are playing once on an important drive at the end of the game, not once. That says everything you need to know about how good they actually are.
We stopped the 2 point conversion yes, but in terms of stopping a drive when a team is trying to come back on us we've been completely unable to do that and you can only call our defense so improved if they can't get a key stop.
I have zero issue rooting for losses. I won’t sit in front of the TV and cheer for the other team, I wanted to win that in the 4th q, but this can definitely be a better thing.
That game has nothing to do with “learning how to win” by Daniel Jones or any of the very small handful of players on the roster worth a damn. If losing gives a better chance to acquire better players, it’s the best way forward. This roster is absolute trash.
Less than 2 weeks to the trade deadline. Get me a couple 3rd or 4th round picks.
RE: I said it in the game thread, I'll say it now.
need to have a sale, and make some trades. I'd still be surprised if we did so, but not as much now that we are 1 - 6. We only have five picks next year. We need to get a few more for the next GM.
Look, I loved that long run. Loved the TD to Shepard. Loved some nice throws. The loss isn't on him. But, it was still the play that ended the game. It was still yet another fumble. It was the 11th hour and he was trying to make something happen. You need to look at the situations
RE: I've officially reached the point of being concerned
Jones cost them the win. I just cannot believe it. Read Eric’s preview of this game. No OL. No playmakers. No TE. No Barkley. Please
I don't think he cost them the game. But, I am not just writing off the fumble. You can do that when it is an isolated play in a game like this. But, it is an almost weekly occurrence. It is still a reason for concern and still the play that ended (not lost) the game.
IF judge wants to preach accountability then start by holding these shit players accountable . We lost because of these 3 players tonight , mainly Engram though. He has enough of a scholarship here. Cut his ass and he will join the practice squad of the Jets
How many times did he throw the ball while being rushed tonight. Was the OL sitting back with a beer, or were they just sound asleep somewhere?
The offense is brutal, the OL is brutal, the only thing that kept them in the game was the defense, and by the end of the game they were being called on EVERY PLAY!
FIRE GETTLEMAN NOW!
The NYG franchise has become a losing one.
A game like tonight you make plays and find a way to win.
They did and have been doing the opposite as they always find a way to lose. The stench remains and is not going away..... it actually is getting stronger.
is even at 10-7 I really liked how they were playing. Felt like maybe we had something with this defense. Then we get to 21-10 and like a sucker I'm starting to think there's maybe a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Nope. Same old same old.
We can never enjoy a thing here. Never. We can’t have one god damned cock fucking ten day stretch where we feel ok can we. Not one fucking stretch of feel good time.... can’t enjoy the great drive in the 4th... nope! Joe this team! Oh you think u suffered enough the last few years? Ain’t done yet!!! Pay up fuckers!! Here some more shit sandwich for you to chew on.
the Eagles did everything they could to give us the game. Missed a chip shot FG, went on 4th down at the 3 instead of kicking a FG in a close game, Wentz horsed around for 2 1/2 quarters, then they get down by 11 and bing, bang, boom run up and down the field like nothing. And the Eagles were missing three wideouts, both of their tight ends, two running backs, o-linemen and they went through us like shit through a goose when it counted.
I know the tendency is to find one or two individuals to blame, but that is missing the point. The talent level on this team is abysmal. There are guys out there who don't belong in the NFL and cannot compete with other teams' 3rd and 4th stringers. That's the bottom line.
Needs help they need to get a 6 second clock at practice for him it’s that simple he’s got to get the ball out in 6 or less. These bums he’s being forced to play with are surely destroying his faith from all aspects.
Guys— this is the worst I’ve felt after a Giants loss
In a long LONG time. Like I mean maybe since 2010. That sounds dramatic but there’s something about this one that stings so, so bad. I can’t even fully put my finger on it. Maybe it’s just the fact the awful seasons are just piling up and piling up, and here it really felt like we may have had a real symbolic breakthrough with that 97 yard drive to go up 21-10, all just to see the lead disappear in minutes. Add on the fact it’s the Eagles, in Philly, it’s our 8th straight loss to them, and the fact this game ACTUALLY meant something for control in the division, and.... I just feel absolutely awful guys.
Is anyone else in the same boat as me? Like, as bad this one was, it just feels even worse than you’d expect?
I can’t remember being THIS down about a loss in forever. Maybe even since before 2010... for a long time the memories of Giants super bowl victories in 07 and 11 often helped soften the blow of even the worst losses. I think those great championships have finally run out of their pain-numbing agent. Now I remember what really horrible Giants losses to feel like.
If you are going to miss in the first round, don’t miss on a fucking tight end that can’t block. You need that fucking guy to be a 700 yard 5TD player to even scratch the surface of proper value in the first round. So awful.
If this was like 2009 or 2010 and those NYG teams blew a 21-10 lead
Jones cost them the win. I just cannot believe it. Read Eric’s preview of this game. No OL. No playmakers. No TE. No Barkley. Please

there was 20 seconds left in the game. With no timeouts at their 15 yard line. Whether he fumbles or not, the game was over anyway.
He was trying to make a play so he held on to the ball longer then he usually does to allow the receivers to run longer routes down the field
doubt the Giants cut Harper or Balletine. They lured Harper off the Raiders' practice squad with a $25K bonus, and Ballantine has no replacement. Despite his penalties, I'd like to keep Harper for the rest of the year. But it looks like Ballentine is a guy who you at most bring to camp next year.
A sunken cost. Our current GM just invested a #4 overall on a guy who has been a turnstile all year. I get the lack of practice and rookie thing and all, but hes just getting beat by the guy on him. It’s not like he’s never played the position before. But that’s what he looks like out there.

Me too. Crestfallen. Wish I didn’t care but it’s in my blood.
to me losing means a better draft pick so I am don't get upset anymore.
However, we had a chance in this game and I was rooting wholeheartedly for the Giants to win.
Then this. They deserve to be a 1-6 team, they deserve to lose out the rest of year. That may be the only thing to ensure Gettleman being gone. Fucking guy has screwed up 3 drafts in a row.

It's raw because it just happened but yes
2015 opener against Dallas and that later that year, the OT loss against the Jets at home.
RE: Gettleman is done. No chance he survives this.

Actually I forgot about the signing off the practice squad. Doesn't that mean he has to remain on their roster the remainder of the year.
Some of those penalties down the stretch were ticky tacky

You must be a new fan lol...the moment I felt what your were thinking I had to check myself. This is exactly who this team has been for years. New coaches, new players, same result. For all of the goodness JJ has brought, we are getting the same results. Stellar OT from the SEC, and after 7 games he's regressed to a level that's arguably worse than Flowers. And I'm a UGA fan, so I'm stunned at just how bad Thomas has been.

I'm totally with you.
I'm sitting here with my stomach in my throat and I won't be able to sleep tonight over this one.
It's hard because I'm a big believer in Judge but I think now is the time we need to see him assert himself in this organization.
At an absolute minimum starting jobs/ST roles need to be lost for Engram, Thomas and Ballentine.
Ideally Engram is traded. Honestly, whatever we can get for him at this point. It's time.
Harper should be off the roster. I'm pretty sure it was his obviously late hit that actually drew the penalty on the punt coverage.
I really want to see Judge start showing some bite.

Unfortunately, I agree. The drafts just aren’t yielding enough talent to produce wins.

It was a major kick in the balls. The TD drive to put them up 21-10 felt like watching them play football for the first time since 2016. I truly thought they were going to win. Jones, Gallman, and Shepherd were giving it their all. That definitely sucked.
I hear you. Same with me.
I think that the Eagles suck as much makes this disgraceful lose so hard to take. Other years the Eagles were better and the expectation was not great. We had this game and you need your star big money guys to make plays to win/secure it. That did not happen. And that is what makes a losing franchise.
I really would cut Engram tonight and have him clean out his locker once they arrive back at the facility.
IF judge wants to preach accountability then start by holding these shit players accountable . We lost because of these 3 players tonight , mainly Engram though. He has enough of a scholarship here. Cut his ass and he will join the practice squad of the Jets
You can add Lewis to this list. Cost us 2 games. Got beat deep in Dallas game that set up winning FG and tonight with an 11 point lead and under 5 minutes allows Wide Receiver to beat him deep again. Dumb and dumber.
It’s just a collection of random players — compare that to Iggs with Kelce, Graham, Cox ... it’s just kind of sad that every vestige of Giants excellence is gone.
RE: RE: Gettleman is done. No chance he survives this.
The only issue is who replaces him. It better not be someone with any Giant ties.
No chance? We said that about Reese for four years before he was fired.
John Mara is not going to fire DG in the middle of this season... or after the season.
You're on. I think he finishes this season and then he's kaput. Mara emphasized that he expects to see improvement this season. Well, that hasn't happened.
RE: RE: Gettleman is done. No chance he survives this.
they were so close to havning some meaningful games
Whichever team wins the NFC East will be eliminated in the first round. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise that we're getting a higher pick because Lord knows we would go nowhere in the Playoffs.
RE: This loss hurts because the division is so bad
they were so close to havning some meaningful games
lets be honest they would "fake" meaningful games. We are a 2pt conversion away from being 0-7...the east stinks and its the only reason people have faith. Its not because the giants deserve it.
They will be embarrassed by the Bucs and then they will be 1-7.
I love the Giants. I don’t have the same passion for other NY teams like some on BBI do. I love and root for the Giants every week, but it’s always the same fucking script.
RE: RE: RE: Gettleman is done. No chance he survives this.
I'm 49 years old and this is the most unlikeable group of Giants players that I can ever remember watching. It's just misery.
Fuck. This. Team.
Unlikeable? No... the 2017 team says hello. Just bad? Absolutely.
Unlikeable. At least 2017 had a Hall of Famer at quarterback and JPP on the roster. This team has jack shit for talent, and not only that, the talent that they have is overrated.
RE: RE: RE: Gettleman is done. No chance he survives this.

You are correct. Slightly ahead of him. Problem is in that situation where a first down likely seals the game you have to extend and make sure of the catch. Because he is a loser and has stone hands he did not. He is the anti-football player. Cancer Hands Engram is a loser.
that Engram pussied out on that catch due to the safety coming in. Worst part was it’s not like he was that close but he would have given him a decent shot. I’ve watched this play 15 times - he just gave up on the ball because he didn’t want to get hit
The GM is responsible for the players on the field
Judge, who I like and am still behind, will lose a lot of credibility. Thomas obviously isnt a lost cause but he needs to sit.
Engram? Get him the fuck off of this team. You cant get a 6th for him? Then cut him. Tomorrow. They gave him every possible opportunity, and he continually shits the bed. And tonight you cab easily argue that it cost them the game.
this is every game now. Thomas is very much a concern until he fixes his game, or a coach fixes it for him. He looked straight up inept out there tonight.

It looked like he tried a cutback with the guy matched up on him. Shouldn’t have bothered.

Agree i like Judge a lot but i will lose a lot of respect for him if these 2 are starting next game
... who on this team do you feel kind of bonded to, who feels like a real Giant? It’s just a random group of dudes. No history, no achievement, no leader, it feels like they are starting from zero in building a winning culture.

That ball was perfectly thrown. It was dropped right on him and it was a great call by Garrett. Engram dropped an easy fucking catch.
You're parroting Troy Aikman. I re-watched the play - it's a make-able catch if Engram extends himself, but the ball thrown certainly wasn't perfect and the catch wouldn't have been easy. The ball went just off his finger tips.
... who on this team do you feel kind of bonded to, who feels like a real Giant? It’s just a random group of dudes. No history, no achievement, no leader, it feels like they are starting from zero in building a winning culture.
Shepard's a great kid, but he should be primarily a slot guy. He's not an outside guy. Too small. And man, we REALLY missed out on Michael Thomas.

Yeah, that was kinda my take on it too. He definitely appeared to slow down.
we are worse and more devoid of talent than we he got here.
No question. Ever since Coughlin left, and especially since Gettleman was hired it has been like watching a slow motion train wreck. You can see it coming but there is nothing you can do to stop it.
this is every game now. Thomas is very much a concern until he fixes his game, or a coach fixes it for him. He looked straight up inept out there tonight.
I totally agree Dave - did Peart get any reps? I didn’t see him.

Dude. I feel your pain. I was absolutely going to type a post to you tonight after the Giants won and tell you that you were the only one giving them a chance on BBI this week.
I feel like the arrow is pointing up. If I could sign Judge and Graham to 35 year extensions, I would. And I can live with the Daniel Jones we saw tonight. That guy can win in this league. Two things have to be corrected:
1. Got to get a GM to work side by side with Judge to acquire players Judge wants
2. Got to get an offensive coordinator that understands what Jones is and is not. Garrett is not putting him or the rest of the offense in the best position to succeed.
Tonight is the first time I felt like this since 2004. That we have direction.
but I didn't think it was a straight drop by Engram. The ball went off the tips of his fingers, and it would have been a tough grab.
He probably should have laid out for it to give himself a better chance, but I think a lot of people are coloring their view of that play based on the commentary of Aikman and their bias against Engram.
Rewatch it again.. Fucking EE is keaning towards the sideline hoping to snag the ball and head away from the oncoming safety..He fucked up a perfectly thrown ball..
... who on this team do you feel kind of bonded to, who feels like a real Giant? It’s just a random group of dudes. No history, no achievement, no leader, it feels like they are starting from zero in building a winning culture.
Shepard's a great kid, but he should be primarily a slot guy. He's not an outside guy. Too small. And man, we REALLY missed out on Michael Thomas.
Sigh.
RE: i honestly don't know how anyone can defend the fucking GM
I feel like the arrow is pointing up. If I could sign Judge and Graham to 35 year extensions, I would. And I can live with the Daniel Jones we saw tonight. That guy can win in this league. Two things have to be corrected:
1. Got to get a GM to work side by side with Judge to acquire players Judge wants
2. Got to get an offensive coordinator that understands what Jones is and is not. Garrett is not putting him or the rest of the offense in the best position to succeed.
I don’t agree with everything that you say, but your season long optimism about Judge and Graham gives me optimism. I just don’t know if Mara can put his ego aside and not hire “his” Gm.
Tonight is the first time I felt like this since 2004. That we have direction.
Write off another season to rebuilding year. I do think if they replace the GM with someone good we’ll have something. I don’t know the candidates, but perhaps someone from Pittsburgh organization, or possibly Indi.

Agreed, it was actually exciting, and Jones made some plays to elevate his teammates, which is greatly see. Love to see it more throughout the season.
If you are going to miss in the first round, don’t miss on a fucking tight end that can’t block. You need that fucking guy to be a 700 yard 5TD player to even scratch the surface of proper value in the first round. So awful.
Thomas wants you to hold his beer.

Engram has been in the league long enough to know he’s a bust. Thomas may get there, but still a bit early.

If we missed on Thomas, I’m willing to crush the FO because it was such a tackle-rich class. They should be absolutely roasted for picking the wrong one.
Picking a no-block TE from the SEC is just a different level of risk to take in the first round. Anything other than an absolute stud is a poor use of a pick there.
that ran 4.4. Didn't even think about how we could (or couldn't) use him. 4.4!!!
Meanwhile, Ryan Ramcyzk is an All Pro RT and there were several good 2-way TE's drafted after Engram. That was one of the better TE drafts you will ever see.
I was giving them a chance and thought they’d win because it’s my opinion they aren’t far off. Clearly they still have guys on the roster that just simply aren’t good football players and cost them games, as Engram did tonight (among other guys).
Up 11 with 6 minutes to play against a bad team, you expect to win. Nope.

Wasn’t expecting this from you tonight. I agree with it 100%.
The one additional emphasis I’d make is that they either need to have someone calling this offense that embraces making Jones as threat to run on every single drive, or move on to a new QB with the high pick.
It should be much more than a once-per-quarter “gotcha”. They should be forcing teams to stop that element, drive after drive, half after half, game after game.

I have seen all the bad losses to Eagles and this goes right up there. I expected the Giants to win. Engram absolutely needs to make that play. The defense absolutely needed to finish better in the end than imploding.
Awful.
Kudos to Jones, Shep, and Gallman. Really nice efforts.
1- EE is horrible. Literally the opposite of a jack of all trades as he only has one skill and he isn't even good at that. Jack off of all phases is a better term.
2- Thomas sucks at T. It isn't a rookie thing, he truly gets beat inside, outside and even with power!
3- I hate EE- just needed a second point for EE. I just cannot stand this guy.
4- With EE in mind, our TE's are garbage overall. I have to believe we knew that coming in.
5- Zeitler, Tate and Shepard can all be had for the right price.. I would say EE but who the fuck would want him...
6- Defense is better for portions of the game but our highly drafted/traded for dl are just a group of roll players and our pass rush lacks a stud!
I was hoping he would start to play better but he is actually getting worse. Their were plays tonight that he actually missed his block.
I hope that Judge is true to his word and let’s Peart play LT. I have to believe he outplays Thomas in practice.
that Engram pussied out on that catch due to the safety coming in. Worst part was it’s not like he was that close but he would have given him a decent shot. I’ve watched this play 15 times - he just gave up on the ball because he didn’t want to get hit
Yeah, that was kinda my take on it too. He definitely appeared to slow down.
Yep. Engram does not strike me as a football player. He’s a pretty good athlete— he’s not a football player. And on top of that, he’s more of just a straight line speed athlete, but beyond that he’s actually not all that athletic in any other way... being athletic means having control of your body, Engram just often seems wildly out of control running routes and on top of that can’t catch and doesn’t have professional-grade eye hand coordination. He reminds me of a taller/bigger version of Tim Carter. He can outrun a defender but it doesn’t help if he doesn’t know where the hell his body is in relation to the ball. Plus he’s a pussy.
... to say that I literally HATE Evan Engram's guts right now???
Not wrong at all. Correct actually. It’s objectively the consensus feeling this entire fanbase has toward that worthless POS. Pretty much the only thing we can all agree on.
go tell your bosses you don't want to do what they want you to do and let me know how that works out. matter of fact, do it at the interview level lol.
Mara wanted to give eli another go. it failed.
it's as if he's the first GM to try and turn a team around and fail with some of you.
the problems with this team stem from 2012. we literally have nothing to show for 8 years of drafts and FA markets until last year basically.
Kill mara not DG. if anything DG has had more to do with our recent success than John Mara.
but this defense gave up 12 points in the final 6 minutes. They allowed Philly to march down the field twice. They committed 4 penalties in these 2 drives alone; illegal contact, holding, 12 men on field, pass interference. It really sloppy when it counted.
And I can tell you what that looks like having never missed a Giants game from 1964-1980.
How does a team stop torturing its fan base? Well, everyone agrees that it needs to acquire more talent, and that takes time.
But the flip side of that is shedding players who play small when they are needed most. As long as Evan Engram is part of this franchise, the masochism will continue.
they're better but not good enough. Not having a pass rusher kills this defense, especially when they need stops. add to that - outside of Bradberry, best 3 secondary players not even playing a down.
Eagles have been underachieving but they almost came back and beat the Ravens last week. They're not trash.
I'd give a good chunk of change to be a fly on the wall when Garrett & Columbo review OLine film this week.
is not a strong enough word for this Jaden Smith look a like. Ran away from contact all night and dropped the game icing pass. Disgusting player. I wish bad things on him.
But lets not let the defense off the hook either. What the hell was Ryan Lewis doing on that 59 yard floater to Hightower that basicallt got the Eagles back in the game. That ball was primed to be intercepted the way it floated up there. Also Jabril Peppers cannot let a 5'8 rb beat him foir the game winning TD. He never turned around to look where that ball was. Yes, Engram's drop was inexcusable and very costly, but lets not foirget the defense still could have prevented the Eagles from marching down the field and just completely self destructed
fuck the defense. Fuck Engram. Fuck Jones and his 2 left feet. Fuck the garbage offense that doesn't have one singular hair on it's toddler wobbling ass. Fuck the Maras and their choir boy player personnel standard here. Fuck Dg and his stupid over the top Bostonian accent and his refusal to draft athletes that can catch the ball and rush the passer. Fuck DeAndre Baker. Fuck Met Life. Fuck the meadowlands while we're at it, such a great place for a stadium if you're a dirty, disease infested seagull. Fuck this team from the ground up. And fuck the top even more so. Can't wait till next year. Maybe the Giants will find a way to fool people into thinking they are a normal NFL team that can actually defeat a division foe once a god damned decade.

You shouldn't have to defend your stance (and mine) that this team had enough talent to show some legit progress this year. It is as clear as day that this team can hang with other NFL teams pretty much every week. The problem is deeper than talent. It's the culture. Some of us knew this team could compete every Sunday. We just weren't sure they could close. And they most definitely cannot close.
So mad. I am not even making sense and I don't care.

I have come to the conclusion that us Gmen fans are the souls of horrible people that don't know were dead and out hell is to watch our team lose in the last minute to the Cowboys and Eagles year in and year out. My only explanation because these late losses defy logic.
Eagles have been underachieving but they almost came back and beat the Ravens last week. They're not trash
They aren't trash, but they aren't very good.
Closer inspection of that game is Wentz was getting destroyed throghout and he threw a near interception (over turned) that would have ended the game with the Ravens up 16. They had controlled the Eagles most of the game.
The Eagles are making games close after they fall way behind.
Steelers.
Ravens.
Giants.
Fell behind to the Rams (blowout) and Cincy (comeback to tie) too.
Interesting enough, the last four games at the Linc have been sloppy and the Giants very easily could be 4-0 in those games. We aren't exactly getting blown away.
Engram needs to catch it, but we've seen this movie with this defense for years.
Fuck Peppers. Fuck Engram. Fuck Harper. Fuck Thomas. Fuck Ryan Lewis. Fuck Gettleman.
Once. JUST ONCE I'd like us to beat the Eagles. All we do is get crushed and lose heartbreakers to them. I'm sick of that fucking team. Same thing with the Cowboys.
Absolutely fucking horrible.
Fucking blow this team up, Jesus Christ.
Nope, Engram lost the game. 100%.
Yeah. He’s the reason we lost. Not the perfect pass dropped that was the game winner
Andrew Thomas... my goodness.
Evan Engram... take an Uber home.
Hopefully Engram
Having to listen to Aikman and Buck praising the Eagles coming back is just too much. Better we get blown out.
I don't get the Peppers hate, the guy played well
That's the Giants Way, especially against the Eagles
There is really no reason Engram should be playing. I've never seen a player being talked about so much by the pundits after having done so little.
And, again, Thomas looks absolutely horrendous. How did we settle on him as the first tackle taken? Gettleman has really done a terrible job.
This is another lost season, how many of these in a row can a fanbase take?
Engram was just the guy who made the bad play today. They should have put up many more points in the first half. Can't pretend like it's one play that lost us the game. People do a lot of picking and choosing of "oh if not for this one play or that one play" we lose because the majority of the plays we run consistently are worse than the other teams.
No ref conspiracy, no scapegoating one player or another. The sum of what we have in this organization is garbage, it's been garbage.
Quote:
we got so lucky to not have the PI called against when the Eagles were poised to take a 17-14 lead. This is a loser team who has only beat the lowly Redskins and even then much like in this game they were marching it at will against our better unit at the end of the game
Nope, Engram lost the game. 100%.
21-11 turns into 21-22.
But Engram.
Maybe he didn’t expect a guy who had TWO people blocking him to run free. They were not going to win the game anyway.
Can’t win with these two guys.
Gotta cut ‘em
I know your kidding. Did you hear Aikman a HOF QB. He said perfect pass
^^^THIS!
Magnificent effort by Jones, wasted by this fool Engram.
Remenber who drafted him?
Fuck Peppers. Fuck Engram. Fuck Harper. Fuck Thomas. Fuck Ryan Lewis. Fuck Gettleman.

Lemme' ask again, how would you guys prefer to lose, by blowouts, or a nail biter? I'm torn...
That’s what killed us?
Geezus
Combination of Giants looking like contender for worst team for the next decade and the babying down of contact could finish me with the NFL after 60 years.

I will blame Engram. Thanks for the permission.
2012-20??
Do I put the game on Jones? No. But, that doesn't make that fumble make me just roll my eyes and say, "of course he fumbled." Yeah, he played well overall and made a few big plays. But, he is not above criticism for his 2 turnovers. The whole team stinks.
This is not new. It's been this way for a long while now and I don't see any reason to think it will change either. They're a dead franchise.
Fuck engram
I don't get the Peppers hate, the guy played well
You're out of your mind. Peppers is embarrassing out there.
True but we did not make a single play on defense other than the stop on the 2pt conversion... not one.
Fuck. This. Team.
Fuck. This. Team.
okay... see you in the game thread next week!
This is a freaking joke.

A blowout. Why? Because at least I can have a self-deprecating chuckle over how pathetic this team is.

Are you seriously griping about the three-years-fired Jerry Reese right now? Guess what - if Mr Magoo had wanted to get rid of Engram, it would have been well within his ability to do so at any time.
Thomas is trash. People need to cut the shit with the excuses. He’s consistently getting beat the same way week in and week out.

Zeitler. He sucked most of the night. Peart and someone else playing right guard need to be starting next week.
Just my rant, thank for listening and good night.
Oh ya, see you Gettlemen. Please just resign...
Speaking of losers
Engram. Drop leads to pick. Drop leads to punt which loses game.
Ballentine is left uncovered on a punt and doesn't look back? Horrible late penalty on Jackson.
Harper. Does nothing but takes two horrible penalties. WTF?
We stopped the 2 point conversion yes, but in terms of stopping a drive when a team is trying to come back on us we've been completely unable to do that and you can only call our defense so improved if they can't get a key stop.
Fuck. This. Team.
Unlikeable? No... the 2017 team says hello. Just bad? Absolutely.

It was the 11th hour and he was trying to make something happen. You need to look at the situations
Move him to RT. At least Jones will be able to see when Thomas gets beaten.

Boy did they all suck
This defense needed to hold an 11 point lead and didnt.
IF judge wants to preach accountability then start by holding these shit players accountable . We lost because of these 3 players tonight , mainly Engram though. He has enough of a scholarship here. Cut his ass and he will join the practice squad of the Jets
The offense is brutal, the OL is brutal, the only thing that kept them in the game was the defense, and by the end of the game they were being called on EVERY PLAY!
FIRE GETTLEMAN NOW!
A game like tonight you make plays and find a way to win.
They did and have been doing the opposite as they always find a way to lose. The stench remains and is not going away..... it actually is getting stronger.
Are you kidding me.
I know the tendency is to find one or two individuals to blame, but that is missing the point. The talent level on this team is abysmal. There are guys out there who don't belong in the NFL and cannot compete with other teams' 3rd and 4th stringers. That's the bottom line.
Quote:
Jones cost them the win. I just cannot believe it. Read Eric’s preview of this game. No OL. No playmakers. No TE. No Barkley. Please
I don't think he cost them the game. But, I am not just writing off the fumble. You can do that when it is an isolated play in a game like this. But, it is an almost weekly occurrence. It is still a reason for concern and still the play that ended (not lost) the game.
there was 20 seconds left in the game. With no timeouts at their 15 yard line. Whether he fumbles or not, the game was over anyway.
He was trying to make a play so he held on to the ball longer then he usually does to allow the receivers to run longer routes down the field
Those teams had pride. This team has none. What a disgrace.
We stopped the 2 point conversion yes, but in terms of stopping a drive when a team is trying to come back on us we've been completely unable to do that and you can only call our defense so improved if they can't get a key stop.
Yep. Penalties, 59 yard passes, pass interferences, touchdown throws.
They don’t step up.

Me too. Crestfallen. Wish I didn’t care but it’s in my blood.

No chance? We said that about Reese for four years before he was fired.
John Mara is not going to fire DG in the middle of this season... or after the season.
At this point, you really have to consider that we might well draft the kid from Oregon next spring.
Wait. This łoss is indicative of the GM?

No chance? We said that about Reese for four years before he was fired.
John Mara is not going to fire DG in the middle of this season... or after the season.
You're on. I think he finishes this season and then he's kaput. Mara emphasized that he expects to see improvement this season. Well, that hasn't happened.

This is fantastic! I see what you did there...👀
Whichever team wins the NFC East will be eliminated in the first round. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise that we're getting a higher pick because Lord knows we would go nowhere in the Playoffs.
lets be honest they would "fake" meaningful games. We are a 2pt conversion away from being 0-7...the east stinks and its the only reason people have faith. Its not because the giants deserve it.
They will be embarrassed by the Bucs and then they will be 1-7.

Who picked Turnstile Thomas with the 4th pick of the draft ?
Who is responsible for this Defense allowing 2 TD in the last 6 minutes of the game ?
The talent on this team is atrocious and it starts with him

I'm 49 years old and this is the most unlikeable group of Giants players that I can ever remember watching. It's just misery.
Fuck. This. Team.
Unlikeable? No... the 2017 team says hello. Just bad? Absolutely.
Unlikeable. At least 2017 had a Hall of Famer at quarterback and JPP on the roster. This team has jack shit for talent, and not only that, the talent that they have is overrated.

The Giants lose a heart breaker and it’s the GM’s fault? Was he dropping the pass or Engram? Was he committing the PI in the end zone?
Come on.
I'm sick of losing!
He probably should have laid out for it to give himself a better chance, but I think a lot of people are coloring their view of that play based on the commentary of Aikman and their bias against Engram.
You are correct. Slightly ahead of him. Problem is in that situation where a first down likely seals the game you have to extend and make sure of the catch. Because he is a loser and has stone hands he did not. He is the anti-football player. Cancer Hands Engram is a loser.

True. Last couple years have been a classic case of “good management - the players just gotta make it happen”
Engram? Get him the fuck off of this team. You cant get a 6th for him? Then cut him. Tomorrow. They gave him every possible opportunity, and he continually shits the bed. And tonight you cab easily argue that it cost them the game.
It looked like he tried a cutback with the guy matched up on him. Shouldn’t have bothered.

Agree i like Judge a lot but i will lose a lot of respect for him if these 2 are starting next game
The real homer troll said this about a previous game and he was mocking him.

but I didn't think it was a straight drop by Engram. The ball went off the tips of his fingers, and it would have been a tough grab.

That ball was perfectly thrown. It was dropped right on him and it was a great call by Garrett. Engram dropped an easy fucking catch.
Shepard's a great kid, but he should be primarily a slot guy. He's not an outside guy. Too small. And man, we REALLY missed out on Michael Thomas.
Yeah, that was kinda my take on it too. He definitely appeared to slow down.

No one ever defended DG, they only said he was good in Carolina...
I totally agree Dave - did Peart get any reps? I didn’t see him.
Dude. I feel your pain. I was absolutely going to type a post to you tonight after the Giants won and tell you that you were the only one giving them a chance on BBI this week.
I feel your pain.
Doesn’t it feel that way? Just anonymously shuffling off to yet another loss.

You're parroting Troy Aikman. I re-watched the play - it's a make-able catch if Engram extends himself, but the ball thrown certainly wasn't perfect and the catch wouldn't have been easy. The ball went just off his finger tips.
Rewatch it again.. Fucking EE is keaning towards the sideline hoping to snag the ball and head away from the oncoming safety..He fucked up a perfectly thrown ball..

Not sure why you guys want to continue a fight from last week.

... who on this team do you feel kind of bonded to, who feels like a real Giant? It’s just a random group of dudes. No history, no achievement, no leader, it feels like they are starting from zero in building a winning culture.

Sigh.
Who’s defending the GM? I am just saying this loss tonight isn’t because a Gettleman dropped the ball.

I don’t agree with everything that you say, but your season long optimism about Judge and Graham gives me optimism. I just don’t know if Mara can put his ego aside and not hire “his” Gm.

Agreed, it was actually exciting, and Jones made some plays to elevate his teammates, which is greatly see. Love to see it more throughout the season.
Thomas wants you to hold his beer.

Sure he has- on many of player evaluations that aided in coasting us this game.

It's the Giants vs. Eagles. It'd be more surprising if we DID win this game.

Holy hell. Another fucking heartbreaker to the Philthy dirty birds.
Meanwhile, Ryan Ramcyzk is an All Pro RT and there were several good 2-way TE's drafted after Engram. That was one of the better TE drafts you will ever see.
Up 11 with 6 minutes to play against a bad team, you expect to win. Nope.
Time for Engram to just be off this team.

Up 11 with 6 minutes to play against a bad team, you expect to win. Nope.
Yeah...why?
I hope that Judge is true to his word and let’s Peart play LT. I have to believe he outplays Thomas in practice.
Quote:
that Engram pussied out on that catch due to the safety coming in.
Not wrong at all. Correct actually. It’s objectively the consensus feeling this entire fanbase has toward that worthless POS. Pretty much the only thing we can all agree on.
its not the easiest position in the league and its not like he's got anything special playing next to him.
and i'm saying this as a person who thinks we should move him to RT and try peart at LT. to say he's garbage is a joke.
go tell your bosses you don't want to do what they want you to do and let me know how that works out. matter of fact, do it at the interview level lol.
Masochistic stage in watching this Giants team.
Will probably accelerate.
Eagles have been underachieving but they almost came back and beat the Ravens last week. They're not trash.
I'd give a good chunk of change to be a fly on the wall when Garrett & Columbo review OLine film this week.
I regret sitting in the stands with Engram's father 3 years ago telling him his boy was going to be a real good one
Lmao
Up 11 with 6 minutes to play against a bad team, you expect to win. Nope.
But, bottom line...ya gotta win. That's why last night sucks. Joe Judge was putting on a clinic and then in 6 minutes it was wiped away.
