Jones elevated the team for the entire second half, and played like a top 10 qb. I would love to have seen him finish the game off with a winning FG drive. But in reality, he had the dagger shot to engram and did have the game winning drive in hand, literally.
we got so lucky to not have the PI called against when the Eagles were poised to take a 17-14 lead. This is a loser team who has only beat the lowly Redskins and even then much like in this game they were marching it at will against our better unit at the end of the game
and have finished all their close games with fumbles or interceptions. Jones is certainly not making a case to be the guy next year! That was sickening to see.

Thomas was atrocious. He should be benched. At a minimum, the Giants should give him some help with a RB or TE.

Engram was just the guy who made the bad play today. They should have put up many more points in the first half. Can't pretend like it's one play that lost us the game. People do a lot of picking and choosing of "oh if not for this one play or that one play" we lose because the majority of the plays we run consistently are worse than the other teams.
No ref conspiracy, no scapegoating one player or another. The sum of what we have in this organization is garbage, it's been garbage.
Please don't tell me how well the D played for 3 quarters. Please don't point to Gallman looking good. The bottom line is this TEAM sucks. They have their best drive of the season to go up by 11 with 6 minutes left. That should enough almost any week. But, this fucking D folded like a cheap suit, Engram choked, and then we have to have the obligatory OL meltdown and the game sealing fumble.
Do I put the game on Jones? No. But, that doesn't make that fumble make me just roll my eyes and say, "of course he fumbled." Yeah, he played well overall and made a few big plays. But, he is not above criticism for his 2 turnovers. The whole team stinks.
Can't win down the stretch anymore, can't make important stops, never have any luck, draft picks under-perform, owner lost on what to do....I can go on.
This is not new. It's been this way for a long while now and I don't see any reason to think it will change either. They're a dead franchise.

Look, I loved that long run. Loved the TD to Shepard. Loved some nice throws. The loss isn't on him. But, it was still the play that ended the game. It was still yet another fumble. It was still a 2nd turnover in a game, which happens quite a bit. He didn't lose the game, but he is not above criticism.

That ball was perfectly thrown. It was dropped right on him and it was a great call by Garrett. Engram dropped an easy fucking catch.

Engram is a joke, he’s not a playmaker, and gets to many opportunities. You don’t throw to him on a crucial 3rd down. Poor call by the coaches, he’s not a “Player”. He just an athletic kid that should be used sparingly.
Kudos to the D. They played well, but gave a big play at a crucial moment. There just missing a few more pieces to make them legit.
Overall, we need to draft heavy on D moving forward, we’re stuck with Jones who is just an average QB, and we need to hope Barkley can carry this team when he returns.
