And that there tonight goes down as one of the more dispiriting losses I’ve sat through, and I’ve sat through quite a few.

This is not a prediction, but just the simple, plain truth. You can’t win with players like Engram and Peppers regardless of their athleticism and measurables. If they are on the roster next season, might as well skip the 2021 Season.

It’s the definition of insanity
HoodieGelo : 10/23/2020 12:13 am : link
Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Yes they are good athletes but they just can’t play football. It’s that simple, cut the chord.

I agree with you. At 21-10 I finally felt like we might finally beat the Eagles and really turned the corner.

Then my fucking heart was ripped out like usual.

This game is one that will stick with me for a long time.
I agree

I am besides myself with rage after this disgraceful loss to our biggest rivals!!!

and that's just recent vintage.

The Eagles own us.
Totally agree

It’s brutal to watch. Engram is another one of Reese’s “athlete” picks that is either injured or killing drives. And Peppers is another one of our current GM’s brilliant trade acquisitions.

This loss is on #88, #45, and #37

They all need to go

When they went up 21-10 it felt like a turning point, in jones and the giants, all the momentum and just couldnt get the stop..

This could of been thr game we said Jones turned the corner, now i exoect this team to go into the gutter..
MS. Come on, my friend.
Beezer : 10/23/2020 12:18 am : link
I’ve been a fan of this team 46 years. How can you be THAT dispirited when you HAD to have seen this one coming?

It really blows. But it’s so bad it’s laughable.

Even the great run by Jones ended with a comedic dagger. How many years will that play be re-run? And re-run? And re-run?
I was mildly less indifferent than usual
BUgiantfan : 10/23/2020 12:20 am : link
but even when we were up by 11 with five minutes to go, I really didn't expect to win. I even said to my wife, "I have to admit, they're doing a good job of setting themselves up for a devastating loss."

The mrs. thought I was too pessimistic. I simply can't believe this team is capable of being a good, disciplined team until they actually demonstrate that ability. Until then, they are simply a team that finds ways to lose.

we had it, and we let it slip through our hands...

engram can go fuck himself

and his name is Madre Harper who was responsible for both the 15 yd penalty in the endzone on ward and the 15 yrd penalty on the final PR and prob ended Desean Jackson's season.

seriously fuck him for that late hit.

On that Daniel Jones run, what would have Len Berman of ESPN said?

“Rumbling, bumbling and stumbling”

Harper bent a Jackson over but I thought the penalty was called on Ballentine for the helmet to helmet ... in either case, giving them 15 yds right there to start the drive was a killer.
few sour players
Rory : 10/23/2020 12:32 am : link
still on this roster who are ruining it for the team but theres a future here.

Alot of the good is from Gettlemens hands, so people need to chill.

Jones is struggling at times because of the shit around him. He's not a franchise QB on the level of an Eli or someone like that, but he's got plenty enough there to be a solid QB with the right players around him.

Problem is this team is very far from having the right players around him. 3 years into a new front office and the roster has somehow gone backwards with top 6 picks each year. You have to actually try to fuck things up to somehow come out 3 years later with a worse roster.

God Bless, I'm annoyed and pissed but this sack of shit team is not worth letting games stick with you for a while. They suck and we know that, no sense in letting a loss bother you for any great length of time. You will have to wait a little longer than usual for the next loss, 11 days, but it's coming

Most of these players should not be in the NFL

Fire Gettleman and clean house.

This is now the laughingstock organization of pro sports.

Wellington Mara is spinning in his grave.
How many damn times are the cough away winnable games to the Eagles
BlueHurricane : 10/23/2020 12:39 am : link
It’s fucking pathetic. Jim Fassel wasn’t a tremendous coach but that fucker had the Eagles number. Miss those days.

22-11 and looking like we may be the best smelling pile of trash in the east to a flaming pile of shit in less than 5 minutes.

This is right there with Cody Parky kicking a 60+ yarder and the Jackson punt return game.

Fuck the Giants. Loser franchise.

Why fire Gettleman when it wasnt his players that lost the game.

Its actually his players that are the better players on this roster.

not sure why people struggle with this.

Short of like a very select few, this entire roster is DGs. Are we still trying to blame Jerry Reese after 3 years? The roster was heavily turned over after year 1.

I agree with you this secondary and the OL would be great if only DG was allowed to fix it.. I don't blame him at all for either of those.

Yes, and for the fans it is also insane to be upset or pissed off after last night's game because you have been watching the same game for almost 10 years now.

Insanity is watching this team over and over and expecting a different result.

Problem is, the Giants need to pick a direction. Barkley's contract is up next season. Do you pay him big money or do you let him walk? There will be a market for him. Jones will be half way through his rookie deal at the end of this wasted season. Can the team be built up around Jones fast enough so he is a piece behind a good team before you have to pay him vet starter qb money? Or if you have a chance to take a Lawrence, do you do that and build around him?

Tough decisions.
