The Giants have resisted trade offers in the past on their 2017 first-round draft pick — this year’s trade deadline is Nov. 3 — waiting for the breakthrough believed to be on the cusp if he could avoid the rash of injuries that cut short his last two seasons. Well, he’s healthy now. |
In his post game interview, where he announced how sucky he felt, he said something like "maybe the outcome of the game would have been different" if he had caught the third down bomb from Jones.
Dude, Evan, look straight into the fooking mirror... There was NO "MAYBE" there. You make that catch, your team WINS, BRO!
Fooking take some responsibility.
Practice catching the ball incessantly, in your sleep, give up sex, meditate on the ball sticking in your hands, vosualize it 24/7, whatever it fooking takes.
But also, just take responsibility when the team's loss is a thorn crown on your head.
Not "maybe."

David Njoku comes to mind honestly. We desperately need a redzone threat and he's been injured and a disappointment there as well. I'd pull the trigger on that trade in a second.
Kenny Golladay was in that draft class as well and Rico had him rumored to possibly be on the move.
Peppers was in that class and we talked about moving him.
Njoku is very similar to Engram so not sure I'd do that - it'd be a swap just for the sake of a swap.
Corey Davis or John Ross have both been rumored out there. Haason Reddick.
Ultimately not sure if I'd do any of those deals 1 for 1, it's very dependent on who the coaches think will fit, but I'd be open to it for any of Engram, Peppers, Tate, Zeitler.

This is the only thing that makes any sense.
Nobody is going to want him at his current salary
8 games and then what?
The right to pay him 6M for his 5th year option?
Would anybody pay him 6M per at this point?
If you don't pick up the option he is a UFA. I don't see there being any market at all for him.
If a team has multiple late round picks - like three six rounders, for example - why not roll the dice for Engram? At least he has NFL experience and maybe a change of scenery is the magic recipe...

Because you have to replace him as a player and believe it or not, a player like him DOES have quite a bit of value.
I get the drops are infuriating. But he has produced before. I get that he isnt getting open that often, but could it be that teams are targeting him and Slayton in their schemes with Shephard being out?
Giving up EE for a 6th or even a 5th I dont think is worth it. You try and get another receiving threat next year and pick up his option.
However, I wpuld trade him for John Ross straight up.
Ross? That could help both teams.

Something like this is where I was going. Player for player trade for Engram.
Imagine a bunch of teams that have a green #3 or #4 wide-out they may be willing to part with.
