World War II. In 1942, Navy hosted, and in 1943 Army hosted.
The protocols in Philly didn't allow the attendance of the midshipmen and cadets, who will apparently be the only fans there.
I've become somewhat of an Army football fan over my years in the Hudson Valley - they're the local team, and they are good. Their only loss was to Cincinnati who's ranked 9th or 10th depending on which poll. Army may win out from here. They were briefly in the top 25 but I think that was before some of the big-name teams said they were playing this season.
Army is fun to watch. While they pass occasionally, the triple option is their bread and butter, and they run it very well.

Never forget it. The game wasn't bad either.

Meanwhile, on the field, #9 Cincinnati crushed #16 SMU yesterday ... Army's only loss was to Cincy and Army played them much closer than SMU. Really think Army should be nationally ranked even if it's low 20s.
Still unranked on AP.
Pardon my enthusiasm, but with the Giants stinking it up again this year it's nice that the local college football team is good... and it's Army, so there's that.
