As a color guy. Making an excuse that the TB SS having to cover the runner at 2nd as an excuse for why he didnt make the play on the bloop. He was totally set and that ball was uncatchable.
I swear, the Rays must have blackmail material on all these umps. This nonsense has been going on throughout the playoffs.
I agree it is frustrating. But umping, these guys line up behind the catcher and his glove. If the ball is that far off, its tough to adjust your line of sight to see the ball hit the zone.
My non-robot solution is mandate the umps use the blocker again and stand in a box directly behind the plate.
Have watching this WS, but that is the 5th Phish jam I have heard when going to commercial. They just did Sneakin Sally (Stones song that Phish has covered for 2 decades), but they played Stash, Axilla, Chalkdust Torture and I forget the 5th. May have been Tweezer.

The Dodgers lost a WS because of him in the past and they will probably lose another WS today because of him. Roberts thinks he has to go with him because of his past performance of dominance but what have you done for me lately? They deserve to lose....The Brooklyn Bums!
Can't believe I thought they had a day off and missed this one, a thriller, obviously, making p. 1 of the WSJ. No anticipation or play-by-play interest here? How can that be? A ninth inning to live in baseball history for quite a while, it seems. I'll look for film somewhere.
Turner takes his eye off the ball to boot it. Muncy makes a horrible 40 foot throw and then the Catcher takes his eye off the ball and whiffs on it...total failure, two errors in 5 seconds of time.

The whole game was crazy. Back and forth. And then the unbelievable 9th. It's definitely one to watch.
Worse for guys at the bottom of the order.

Kinda cool for the PHANS.
Ugh. Kenley Jensen....woof
Jones tripped. That guy made a terrible decision and got away with it.

In his defense he was waived home. That 3B coach had no business sending him.
Got to be happy for Brett Phillips. Of the Rays take this thing he'll have a place in baseball history forever.
If he had been in position, might have had a chance to snag the ball that got by Smith and make a play.
Always keep playing the game.

Kenley Jansen now has 4 blown saves in World Series games, the most of any pitcher in MLB history.
And he NEVER shuts up! Must get paid by the word.

Seriously. Doesn't get any better than that

It’s not like beating Jensen was an unprecedented feat... but the errors were bad

games out of the butts the same way they did all year - never giving up. Annoying to the haters.

Hey, even Mariano got beat in the WS!
