What could have been. I was glad we got rid of Odell because of the drama/constant headaches, but now his body is completely betraying him. I feel for the guy.

Plus the Browns are 5-2 and looking playoff bound this year too
Bit of a drama queen? Yes
Are we better off without him? Probably, just with his psyche he needs to be on a winning team
But there have been a lot worse around
Not a horrible dude, teammates seem to like him
Goes all the way back to a guy named Mike Friede. The Giants at the time (1980?) were in wide receiver hell. This guy came out of nowhere and had a couple of great games. I got excited, we finally got lucky, and then he tore up his knee, never to be heard from again.

Hicks, Manningham, Boss, Cruz, Odell......Giants should have been set at WR for years but the WR jinx has left us with nothing....
And Steve Smith before that. Loved that guy
And Plaxico before that. And Sherrard before that. And #1 runner up Ike Hilliard before that.
I forgot about Hilliard. He had some devastating injury his rookie year, so we literally don't really know what he could've been.
Dave Brown threw him a hospital pass and he broke his neck or something close
Tried to link this. The curse of Giant wide receivers. This guy came out of nowhere to have a couple of great games. I thought the Giants finally got lucky finding a diamond in the rough. Than, he tore up his knee never to be heard from again.
he could've been an all-time great. In terms of pure talent, I don't think anyone since Calvin Johnson had more of it than Odell. Even Julio, AB, Hopkins, etc. I didn't think had Odell's talent. It's a shame that injuries and his personality kept him from reaching the heights his career could've reached. His explosion after the catch is something I'll never forget, no one else took slants to the endzone the way he did. I hope he can bounce back from this but at this point it's looking doubtful he ever returns to elite status.

100%. I never understood the BBI hate for the guy.

And before that former Giant Ed Mccaffrey who fractured his leg while playing for the Broncos against the Giants. Even on a different team the curse follows.

It really is crazy when you think about it. The bad luck has to end one day, right? Haha.
"Nicks, sir. He's Hicks."
What did she say?
Football is a tough business.
Memories of a better time for this franchise.

I think he was hustling back, then mid flight realized the tackle was made and just leaped awkwardly....really weird.
