So Assuming The Giants Are Picking Between
Trainmaster : 10/28/2020 3:25 pm : link
3rd overall and 8th overall (just a guess), they'd likely have their pick from among (in no particular order):

Micah Parsons, ILB, Penn State (6-3, 245 pounds)
Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon (6-5, 325 pounds)
Gregory Rousseau, EDGE, Miami (6-6, 260 pounds)
Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama (6-2, 203 pounds)
Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU
Alex Leatherwood, OT, Alabama (6-6, 310 pounds)
Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech (6-2, 207 pounds)
Shaun Wade, CB, Ohio State (6-1, 194 pounds)

I'd be OK going OL, Edge, CB or WR with the Giants first round pick.

All okay if you are talking about Day 1 starter. CB is probably the

out of those guys, with expected depth by position, the pick SHOULD be Patrick Surtain II

is the pick.
We have so many holes that I just want the BEST PLAYER picked
SGMen : 10/28/2020 6:37 pm : link
Part of me is hoping we have the #3 pick and Fields is on the board and someone wants to trade down with us for a worthy haul. We have that many holes and extra picks would go a long way to helping with year #1 of the new Rebuild.
Who is the top
XBRONX : 10/28/2020 6:40 pm : link
RB next year? Just kidding.
They need a 2nd CB is the worst way
JohnB : 10/28/2020 7:46 pm : link
and this year's WR group is said to be deeper than last year's. So I'd pass on a 1st round WR of other pressing needs.
Have we not learned our lesson with Barkley and OBJ?
Doubledeuce22 : 10/29/2020 6:37 am : link
Stay away from skill position players until this team is built from the inside out. Rousseau is the only logical pick in my opinion.
Agree, build from inside out.
Rolyrock : 10/29/2020 7:50 am : link
The tranches, I loved the Barkley pick. No more. Try to trade down, get a haul, thats enough.
I'm concerned about the players who opted out this season.
Hades07 : 10/29/2020 9:26 am : link
Am I off base to be worried about their skills deteriorating with a whole season of experience and development lost?

If they're convinced of Jones, trading the pick has to be the priority.
