"I'm coming for their necks. They know that," Jason Pierre-Paul said of Monday night at Giants. Still has love for his old team, but motivated for sure.
He literally played them two years ago. He played well. Didnt that prove the missed him? And he is still acting like this. That's maturity?
So the better (and more boring) option is to just say "yeah I already got it out of my system, this is just like any other game for me."?
Whatever you say champ. Screams hey look at me more than anything. Vets like Tuck and Osi didn't do those things. Because they're grown ups and didn't do petty things like that.
Firework reference. At least this guy did something for the franchise.
Sorry if I don't feel the need to come to the front lines and defend Daniel Jones and Evan Engram lol and the rest of the losers who cannot keep a lid on a late 21-10 lead over Philly.
Brady might throw 6 touchdowns on Monday, 8 if you piss him off.

Seriously. JPP had one of the most dominate performances in recent Giants history over the Cowboys in 2011. A lot of people here have rose colored glasses for anyone or anything employed by the Giants.
is playing lights out. Why did we get rid of him again?? Oh yeah he’s bad for the culture!!! What a fucking joke.
Who cares about culture? I mean, I care about culture because I really like jazz but that's an entirely different definition right there.
Point being, if the Giants of the 80s cared so much about culture LT would have been cut in 1986. And where would they have gone after that?
I’m with you. I don’t care how mature or well spoken players are. I want animals on that field that lay it all on the line. I don’t mind a little craziness, you gotta be crazy to play this game. I long for the days of dogs like Rolle, Bradshaw and Jacobs on this team. Not the best spoken guys all the time but they had heart and leadership for days.
Involves knowing and doing your job on the field. A good team culture is where all players buy into winning at all costs. I believe that is more of what teams look for when speaking about team culture.
and he plays it like he did here. Decided to look up the read option before this post and there is JPP as the example as to when the QB keeps the ball. Good times.
This trade worked out well for us in that the Bucs
JPP needs to be on a team with an overall good front 7 and can’t be the number 1 pass rusher. Double teams completely neutralize him and he needs his guys to swarm to ball because he struggle setting the edge out in space. If he were still here people would be screaming for him off the team.
he was a good player for us until he blew off his hand. The Giants could have cut his ass immediately and instead did the honorable thing and let him stay.
He should thank the organization for doing what they did for him. The Giants basically saved his career.
Got JPP and we got BJ Hill and his 7.5 career sacks.
JPP was making a ton of money on a team that was going nowhere anytime soon. But that kind of reasoning is obviously over your head. People certainly have incredibly short memories...
I can't believe people aren't appreciative of him. Other than blowing off his hand he was a great Giant.
So what he's mad at us? From his perspective he probably thought he was going to be a Giant for life, won a superbowl with us, got shipped out of town, and has been pretty damn productive. I'd think most players would relish the idea of being a part of the organization as a lifer with a superbowl ring on one of those fingers. Something to be said coming back, getting invited to stuff always, or being able to be at the facilities whenever you want. I'd be spiteful too, at least until I retired and how some time to separate my emotions from the Giants logic.
On a side not I'd imagine this is part of every teams pitch when you they are trying to resign guys they've drafted.
Exactly. And I think it's entirely possible he ends up in the Giants Ring of Honor one day. And it'd be well deserved.
I really just don't get the animus towards him. Yeah, he was an idiot that 4th of July. He probably admits as much too. But he was a great Giant that helped us win a FREAKING SUPER BOWL.
Firework reference. At least this guy did something for the franchise.

Meanwhile our pass rush has been pathetic since he left.
People's memories are faded. A lot of BBI wanted him traded because he kept missing tackles with the bad hand and he had a huge contract which put the Giants in a bind with the CAP(one of the reasons not him alone). While many of us loved JPP, there was a large contingent that wanted him traded to save money. Truth is I am not even sure where I stood. Probably against it, but realized they had to because of the CAP.
Yes, the pass rush has been bad since and OV did nothing at all and continued to do nothing after he left.
DGs tenure as GM. His replacement is an a interior DL who can’t rush the pass or see the field because Dave has overinvested resources into one of the least premium positions in football. How anyone can rationalize Gettlemans resume is mind boggling to me

Gettleman must've thought Leonard Williams was something like Bob Lilly. Far from it, he's not even a Warren Sapp.

DG has been hit or (mostly) miss and at this moment in time want him fired. The only thing that can save him in my mind is if some the rookies really shine and the team wins the East. Of course this past draft class could turn around and be great down the line, Lemiux, Peart, and Thomas pan out into solid starters and building blocks for a good, YOUNG, offensive line.
And the defense as a whole is solidly built from a roster perspective and either a boundary corner or edge rusher away from being top 3rd and both from being elite. The nice thing about missing only this and having the rest of the defense built out is you only need to hit once to transform. Lots of teams have these things and still suck defensively because the rest of their defense stinks.
I forgot to add DG certainly hasn't done enough to warrant him

It’s not our money. There’s always ways to make wiggle room with the cap. We threw away a premier player for peanuts. Seems to be a trend.

The team is 1-6 and can’t even compete in what is amounting to the worst division in the history of the NFL. He’s been objectively terrible at his job. And he’s been way more miss than hit
Was traded shit happens yet this organization can’t see it’s ok to trade or release many of the bags of rocks were still holding onto. No doubt he potentially could have been one of the greatest Giants but they moved on let’s see what he’s got left against our special group.
He's been bad, not saying that, but he could potentially
be looked upon as mediocre depending on how DJ and this draft class turns out. He did crush FA this year, dollar for dollar we definitely had one of the top FA classes this year. Of course, you can't really judge that until the life of these contracts. However, part of building successful is crushing those second-tier signing and Bradberry and Martinez look fantastic. Martinez is also only 26 and Bradberry has the type of game at corner were you can def see him not falling off the cliff at 29. Add Fackrell who may just be one of those guys that needed a new start (he was a 3rd round pic). Promising to say the least.
Of course this is really the only bright spot on Resume Dave's resume, but maybe 2020 was the year he knocked it out of the park. If this draft class is as good as the FA class seems to be and DJ is franchise QB I think Giants fans will end up looking back that he was a decent GM.
To me the biggest strike against him is he signed off on the Shurmur hire. Have no idea what he saw in him as HC material, a guy with an awful Rolodex as well. Absolutely seemed like a reactionary move, one we've seen too often lately as he was an "adult". Players straight up regressed under that coaching staff. Too little too late as far as his job is concerned, but as Giants fan we should be hoping for this. That he was a GM that was sunk by his coaching hire.
A lot of good guys on this team, like Logan Ryan, and you go with a guy who blew his hand off lighting fireworks.
Alright, admittedly hyperbole, Logan Ryan is the man. I lived next to him at Rutgers, great guy.
But in terms of liking someone from an NYG fanhood standpoint, nobody on this team holds a candle to JPP.
Also, is blowing his hand off with a firework supposed to make him a bad person or something? That was an awful accident, it's not like it'a a reflection on him.
So if JPP wants to humiliate his former team he'll have no trouble doing whatever he wants. The Giants will probably let him.
This team is a disgrace to wear that uniform.
Right now the team has one true star, who's out for the year and may never fully recover.

I'm glad for him, his 2011 season was unforgettable.

He was DPOY worthy in 2011.
Nobody will ever confuse him for a rocket scientist though.

WTF? Quaaludes
JPP helped the Giants win a Super Bowl. The 46th one. The guys on this team now suck. Suck badly. They do.

Yup, I laughed. Good one!

As much as people had those ex players, 2016 team has more wins than the 2017 - 2020 team
This team is a disgrace to wear that uniform.

go find your thumb before you start looking for a neck.
But, they have to much class for that. Good thing they are not playing in my stadium.
Blake Martinez seems like a solid move. But I want DG out as well

Yeah because that defines him as a human being. If you ever had a chance to say that to his face you'd most likely shit yourself pal.
But, they have to much class for that. Good thing they are not playing in my stadium.
Yes they do have class. Fans used to follow suit.
