three weeks ago it seemed like the consensus was the Giants should look at QB or Penei Sewell in the draft. Have the last two weeks changed the outlook and shifted our needs to defense? Seems like pass rush and corner now top the upgrade list to me.
If they end up with an opportunity to improve at QB
They have needed an edge rusher for years and passed Chubb and Allen for Barkley and Jones. They may have won themselves out of the first two picks so edge rusher it must be.
If we do end up picking at top, it needs to be Parsons
Having a LB that can cover the middle of the field and sideline to sideline would make this defense from very good to elite. Take the best players and don't force it there. However, I think we draft in the 20s so edge rusher is on table.
Edge and CB are priorities. you can win with Jones. The offense looks so much better with improved line play and Judge kicking Jones in his arse to improve his play. They will need another game break at WR to keep the opposing Dbs on their heels. But there was a bunch of pressure because the the receivers were covered. They need a stud at the edge to prevent Graham from always blitzing. And another player opposite Bradberry.
At WR and Edge this year, I think we go WR, edge Wr, Edge in the first 4 rounds now. Maybe go OC later but we dont need it, I’d rather draft for playmakers
We knew when we drafted a kid from duke it would take time for the game to slow down. Between experience and the OL playing better the game is slowing down. If Trevor Lawrence grades out like Payton Manning then they would have had to think about it. But they are not getting the #1 pick and the other prospects are not worth starting over with. There is still more games to play but the franchise seems to be willing to put heir eggs in DJ's basket.
remember, we are 3-7 despite the fact we're only a game and a half out of first. We still need
--a pass rusher or two
--at least one CB
--a safety
--another middle LB
--a center
--a tackle as depth
--a TE
--at least one playmaker at WR (Slayton flashes but isn't consistently a #1)
with a big physical pass catcher WR or TE in the second or third round. I think #2 corner should probably be looked at in free agency and grab some depth in the 4-6 round area.

If Kyle Pitts was available at our 1st round pick that's a no brainer. That dude is dominating the SEC like few I've seen as a hybrid WR/TE. He's not Engram, he's more like Megatron

Well said. Unfortunately too many are Impatient. I’m glad Judge is our coach and not anyone from BBI.
The win streak itself, not really other than bumping us a drop further back than the top 2 spots. But, in the 2 wins, 0 turnovers for Jones, which certainly helps his stock. OL starting to play well, which might change that need as well. I think our draft focus may shift to WR and pass rush for the first round, with CB being another possibility.
The team needs are WR, CB, TE and ER and will be so next year
ER
CB
WR
ILB to help Martinez

Why were they never taking Sewell?
What did i miss?
I like your enthusiasm.
This.

And even taking a QB was a long shot. Their #1 need is edge rusher followed closely by WR or CB and has been all season.

Ask JonC. (Outside of that, they took their OTs of the future in this year's draft.)

Obviously an edge rusher, WR, and CB are their biggest needs. Hopefully Tae Crowder finishes the season strong and fills one hole.
