Man I was really skeptical about him becoming a good center, but I would love to see what he graded out today, looked like a monster in there. Glad I was wrong.
UDFA find along the OL and it appears that Lemieux is another. Now let's hope that Kyle Murphy shows up to camp vastly improved next season.
I missed the pregame and the beginning of the game today. Did they say why Lemieux started at LG over Hernandez? I noticed Hernandez come into the game late when Zeitler was injured.
mentioned it during one of Gallman's runs where he was stopped at the 1 yard line after getting tackled by 2 Eagles and Gates was watching the ref's call while Gallman got tackled, that he needs to be finishing the play. They were right, Gates stopped playing.
Office supposedly whiffed on getting us a Center this year, judging from comments made even up to week 3....
In fairness, Gated did not look good to start the season. However, I always thought it unfair to label that a failure on Gettleman's part. Fans were calling for Gates to OC all offseason. Media talked about and it seemed to be the coaching staff and front office plan. In a normal season, he would have had mini camp, OTAs, and a full training camp/pre-season to work out a lot of issues. The first few weeks were essentially his pre-season. Now, he is looking like that faith and patience have paid off. It is really underrated how important it is for him to have steadily improved. OL went from a huge problem to having a full 5 guys ready to return, with no less than 4.

to get some depth on the roster. At least another Guard who has experience at playing Center too.
Unless, of course, the FO knows more than you, and already has another former UDFA IOL starting quality player in waiting in Murphy, who they just promoted off the PS. Murphy has played OC, OG, and mostly OLT at Rhode Island, but the Giants seem to view him has an IOL type.
