Takes a lot of crap and gets sought out for arguments quite a bit. Which, for his part, seems happy to oblige. But he really is one of the most knowledgeable posters here, and he was spot on in this case.

Oh yeah this is not a call out, just thinking he must be happy seeing that fulfilled.

It really isnt aboyt whether he is knowledgeable or not, and he is. He is also making ridiculous statements left and right that most people seem to conveniently forget (Nick Mullens is a better QB than Daniel Jones and the Giants should move on from Jones and sign Mullens in the off season....it would make sense for the Ravens to trade Lamar Jackson while his value is high....yes he said both of those things), its more that he is just consistently a condescending, negative, arrogant prick the entire week on multpile threads daily. Like people will sing the praises of Jones this week, and rather than saying he looked like a different QB than week 1 and that he can be a success if he keeps playing this way, he will say how much of a mirage it was, how the Eagles stink and that he was lucky he didnt fumble the ball a few times. He goes out of the way to piss people off and he does it to do exactly that.
Im sorry, I dont care how right he is occasionally, he is an insufferable, unrelenting douchebag all the time and he doesnt care about being that way despite being on a Giants message board.
He is also apparently bulletproof on this website because he made several political comments on the BlueLou suicide thread and is still here..

I get it and can see why he rubs people the wrong way. Ive jist never had a run in with him. As for the more outlandish statements, I dunno, at least he sticks with his convictions.
Everyone made political comments on that thread. Do you want me to ban 30 posters?
Diagree, but I wont argue with you as ypu own the site. But he made several direct comments targeted towards people who supported one of the candidates. I dont really care, but less tolerance has been shown to other posters for lesser transgressions.

He has good points and many are actually deeply thought out. But he is always right in his view, even when he isn't. But I will give the devil his due, I think he is more right than he is wrong.

Are you still salty because he said you moved in with your parents?
I agreed with him on that thread. Jones is a horse. Use him.
Wait, are people giving props because he said that they need to run with Jones more? Holy shit, this has been said since last year. One of my biggest criticisms of Jones is his being to hesitant to pull the ball from the runner on the zone read plays.
Whatever, the guy is a savant. Mullens at qb next year with Jones coming in in wildcat formation.
I agreed with him on that thread. Jones is a horse. Use him.
True. This has been kicked around quite a bit, even last year when it was apparent after the Bucs game he able to beat NFL defenses. There was a clamoring for Shurmur to do more designed runs...
He is a big target and if he gets hurt we are screwed. I was actually nervous when he went down near the goal line when he got tackled hard
His running ability is one thing to take advantage of. But one thing he needs to recognize is how exceptional he is once outside the pocket and how he can be very much like many other successful QBs in this league like Mahomes, Allen and Wilson. He is such a threat both running and throwing the ball that he can be a real weapon that also creates opportunities for guys like Tate and Shephard. We are lackong in big time down field threats, this is a way to make use of what you have in terms of smaller, but shrewd WRs.
When the pocket was squeezing on him today, there were several times I wanted him to sprint out and create a new one outside the tackle the tackle box. Thene he can keep looking downfield but more likely it will create running lanes for him to pick up 8-15.
Takes a lot of crap and gets sought out for arguments quite a bit. Which, for his part, seems happy to oblige. But he really is one of the most knowledgeable posters here, and he was spot on in this case.
I just had myself a night, and fuck it was tremendous seeing the Giants fans out tonight. Like a 2 ton weight is gone.
As an outside the box thinker myslef, I appreciate Go Terps opinion. It's always good to have that persepective on things in life. However, its clear he never played football before. If something works, you just don't get to point to it and say "hey we just need to do that every play" Sorry, just doesn't work like that.
Also, would love to know what he does in real life. Business world just doesn't work when you are a tyrant and fire everyone off poor results right away. Two reasons for that. Not the way talent develops, and two nobody with a modicum of talent will want to work for you unless you have some massive name brand to put on your resume. In football, with generally level playing fields, nobody has that type of massive scale of advantage like a Facebook or Google, not even the perenial good teams like Ravens or Steelers. In fact they are generally pretty stable. Of course people will point to their success, however you are leaving out the fact he'd fire Bill Parcells and Bill Belichik. Nuff said.
Lots of haters here of Garrett, but his scheme is fucking solid, and he's a tremendous play caller. He knows exactly when to run the QB among calling plays off other plays. Why do I know this? I've seen every Cowboys game for the last 6 years. Very effective of using the pull on the QB with Dak, even though he's only a decent athelte at QB. Knew exactly when to do it, Garret was a lightning rod in Dallas because mouth breathers always lay blame at the head coach and QB first. We got lucky as far as I'm concerned with Garrett, guy has a solid offensive scheme and is a tremendous play caller, take all the other shit off his plate and we'll be good to go.
DJ is not fucking Lamar Jackson, it needs to be there for him to make big plays. What I did see today, is that you can absolutely run read option with him 6-7 times a game because he does have a knack for reading the run game, and seeing where to dive for a few. You don't want him running the read option 15 times a game because he regardless of what Spielman says DJ is not Josh Allen. He's not built like a house. Matter of time before he gets hurt. Shit Dak broke his leg this year and he's built like a fucking house.
Jones. Limited use of the read option. Teams will be ready for it as the Eagles were in the 2nd half. A few times he could have escaped the pocket and gain 4-6 yards had he acted decisively instead of waiting for someone to come open.
He needs to improve accuracy on rollouts a bit more.
But I like this Daniel Jones. Learn to protect the ball first, then take the next step.
And Garret, is doing more each week once the staff feels the players are ready for more. Baby steps.
They clearly felt the Eagles were susceptiple to it
Making them stop and read and stay disciplined trying to defend what the Giants threw at them got their wheels turning to their detriment.
Jones' clean play the past two weeks has an effect on the rest of the offense, and Jones himself. Look at some of the beautiful lasers he throws when his confidence is up. Watch him high and tight 3-point the football on his first TD run, and protect the football in the pocket when he feels the rush. Keep it going, DJ.
RE: They clearly felt the Eagles were susceptiple to it
Both games v Philly we saw a lot of the read option and DJ running.
I'd like to see more of it too but against other teams they clearly don't see it as an effective strategy.
It opens up run and pass plays. They have to use it. I agree you don't run him like he's vick, but you can't play scared either. Aggressive fronts will fall for it, and the Eagles are definitely a front that wants to jump the snap and fly upheld.
I agreed with him on that thread. Jones is a horse. Use him.
True. This has been kicked around quite a bit, even last year when it was apparent after the Bucs game he able to beat NFL defenses. There was a clamoring for Shurmur to do more designed runs...
To be fair to the coaching, Jones needed to be run ready. I don't think Garrett and Judge forgot that Jones could run, I just don't think the offense was fully unwrapped for Jones. Until now.
Jones and the coaching really looks like it's coming together. Jones seems comfortable.
I don't want to put the cart before the horse but DCs are going to have consider using a spy on Jones. Which could open up even more options in the passing game. So we'll see how the league starts to adjust..

Yep---I remember debating with people here about how overrated they said Mike Vick was and I kept insisting that Vick's running ability was the single biggest reason why the ATL running game was so consistent with Warrick Dunn and the rest. Vick was a huge factor. Just like Jones is now, to some extent.
Defenses will adjust. Giants will need to counter and Jones will need to grow a very think skin because defenses will be looking to hit him early and often.
There is nothing unsustainable about getting Jones 8-12 planned runs a game. He can be taught to slide and get out of bounds.
Shit, he took a shot to the knees in the pocket yesterday after a throw that was scary...should we cut down the number of passes he throws because of it?
Jones's running is a major weapon. The way to protect the organization from injury isn't to decrease his running; it's to back him up with QBs with similar skillsets.
specifically towards posters who can intelligently articulate their thoughts, even if they go against the grain. Terps has been fairly accurate and his posts (bickering not withstanding) are must read.
Oh yeah this is not a call out, just thinking he must be happy seeing that fulfilled.

And lol at Chopper calling someone a douche bag, that’s funny...
Not to mention... he's FAST.
Jones can fucking fly once he hits high gear.

I dint even know who you are and there is most likely a reason for that.
Not to mention... he's FAST.
He is a long-strider with very good straight line speed. But he's a very big target with an upright style that screams big hit target.
If you are willing to live with that risk than it's worth the stretch...
And many more of them are just distorted.

Today was a BIG win for the franchise and indicative of going in the right direction....finally. The collective masses on BBI shall rejoice.

Good grief.
As for chopper, as ever his posts speak for themselves. You never come away from his posts thinking, "That was a good read."
Not to mention... he's FAST.
Read option. Not RPO, rpo is when you pull the ball and throw the slant
True. This has been kicked around quite a bit, even last year when it was apparent after the Bucs game he able to beat NFL defenses. There was a clamoring for Shurmur to do more designed runs...
You're absolutely right dude and I apologize for that. I saw it going south and it was largely my fault.
Apologies to all, I will leave it alone. It's been a long couple weeks on the subject.
