Darius Slayton had a very productive game 5 rec, 93 yards.

Versus, most of the game, man coverage from Darius Slay, one of the best cover CBs in the league, a 17 mil per year player.

Slayton isn't a #1, but he's a damn good #2. The ball that went off his hands on the crossing route was NOT a great throw by DJ. It was low and too much out in front of Slayton. Usually DJ is more accurate with that throw but he was under hard duress.

DJ made a lot of good thows under duress and his three long pass completions to Shepard, Tate and Slayton were lovely balls that gave his guys a chance to win the play vs man coverage each time.
Slayton is a solid #2

And Jones was a lot more accurate this week. I'm thinking the wind was a factor in the Tampa game. But he needs a #1 receiver, which will open up things for Slayton, too.
he's been playing hurt too. He left the game for a bit in the 1st half

can we say he was a ton better than Slay?

Ouch, too early for that one - but it was well done.
i cant imagine how good Slayton would be
cjac : 11/16/2020 7:45 am : link
as the #2 target. He's really not an X IMO

also if you go back and look, Mack did a very nice job throwing blocks
great late round pick

we have not hit on to many of those the last 10 years and with Lemieux looking good. Kudos to DG
Slayton with just enough downfield plays

to keep Eagle defense honest.

Lot of single-high Free Safety looks yesterday so I am glad DJ took a few shots.

He hurt his shoulder when he hit the ground after that first reception. Was worried he would not come back but shook it off and returned in 2nd quarter

Thanks. He's been a little dinged up all year but he fights through it.
He made up for that one horrible

What horrible drop? The drop on the crossing pattern that cost the Giants one crucial drive? That was NOT an easy catch at all, low ball too far in front IMO. You might check it out and rethink the adjective "horrible?"

If he'd caught that, it would have been a great catch, similar to Engram's for a first down.

adding a WR in rounds 2-3 to pair with Slayton and Shepard would be great. I imagine they might hit the second tier free agent WRs as well.

Tough but makeable catch. That was a pretty good pass from Jones under duress. But to your point not what anyone should classify as a "horrible" drop.
