Rumor that seems reliable: OKC to send Dennis Schroeder to LAL for Danny Green's corpse and the 28th overall pick.
One would assume that this means Rajon Rondo (FA) will not return. Note that he went to UK and you'll see a pronounced roster shift (or assumption of a shift) to it being UK strong.
Rumor that seems unreliable: James Harden to Nets for Lavert, Dinwiddie, Allen and perhaps draft compensation.
Love that trade for LA. Schroeder becomes their 3rd best player and way more valuable then Green and a super late first.
I'm thrilled because I really dont feel like doing any actual work today.
you would think a young plaeyer who can shoot the 3 would be more valuable
that part of the rumor makes no sense

Musa is not a 3pt shooter. He's young with a lot of skill, but he hasn't figured it out. Now, it could be his situation.
His game requires him to have the ball, but he was behind a ton of players like that.

The rumor as far as I know is that Harden is interested in being traded there. Apparently there have been no talks between the two teams and Houston has told teams that they plan to run it back with Harden next year. Since Harden is under contract for 2 years (plus a third year player option for $47M which he might exercise given his age), he doesn't have the same leverage for example, that Anthony Davis did.
Personally I just don't see what this does for Houston if they're going to tear it all down. That's not to say I don't think Levert and Dinwiddie are good players but at 26 and 27 they're not centerpieces for a total teardown/rebuild for a team without much draft capital for some time.
Supposedly, it is between 4 players: Lewis, Hayes, Okoro or Vassell

I'm sure they have Hayes in the first slot, he's just less likely to be there.
Harden, Murry, Jokic could help them challenge the Lakers.
I'm tired of the writers overvaluing the Nets players. Lavert is a good player, but is 26 and injury prone. Allen plays center, a devalued position and they don't have much else unless they put Irving in the deal.

Probably why they want to trade down. Can likely still get one of those 4.
As I have been saying for months, he has strange shooting mechanics. I don't want him.
The pick should either be Kira or Nesmith. They both fit the Knicks needs and the talent difference between 6-14 is non-descript. These guys can shot. Nesmith is compared to Kris Middleton.

Perfect 4. Glad to see this.
Save those damn picks for a future trade that may actually help you win! Same old Knicks

I don't see much of a difference between Nesmith and Reggie Bullock frankly. I see an outstanding catch and shoot guy with little ball handling and pedestrian athleticism. If we are comparing him to Vassell, to me its night/day in terms of defensive potential.
Fuck that.
If you sign VanVleet this makes sense and they seem like Tibs type of players.

The rumors are Tibs wants to win now and is pressuring the front Office.
This would fit that but it tops them out a 7th or 8th seed and kills the future.
This is the prototypical next move
The new mock from Wasserman hurts, Flynn goes ONE pick before we do. Okoro/Flynn would be such a nice way to begin the new era.

It will be interesting to see if he really wants to get paid because I could see the Pistons and/or going to the Max for him.

You would think Rose/Thibs would have spoken about the outlook for the team at his hiring. A trade for Westbrook giving up any real assets (draft picks) is a terrible idea. The Mavs are Doncic injury away from being a lottery team. Remember, there was no off-season.
- Berman still says the Knicks preference is to trade back a few slots and pick up an asset. Sounded like he thinks Hayes is their preference if he's there and if not will be between Lewis, Okoro or Vassell. Also said the Knicks weren't that high on Haliburton.
He would have to sign his qualifying offer..
no 2021 dallas pick and houston add a pick in and i am ok with it
that's pretty terrible.
Hayes at 8 would be great. An added bonus is that with his size, you can still play him next to a PG if you need to.

This is where I'm at. I'd be okay with it, but not thrilled. I'd also want them to take DSJ though.
@HoustonChron
"But Harden wants to move on from the Rockets, the Chronicle has been informed, and is trying to force his way via trade to Brooklyn, allowing The Beard to form the NBA’s next superteam and rejoin forces with former OKC teammate Kevin Durant."
Kyrie-Harden-Durant has all the makings of a disaster. All close to or past their prime, all need the ball to be effective, all dramatic personalities. No supporting cast. First time head coach. Would be entertaining to watch.
- Boston
- Miami
Any others I'm missing that might be a realistic destination? Maybe Chicago?
Other teams could have built better trade packages for AD but he wanted to be a Laker so.
No shot HOU sends Harden somewhere he doesn't want to be. Does not happen in this league.
He isn't turning down an opportunity to win a ring with either Denver or Miami if that's where he goes.

I think there could be some crazy offers. Portland (CJ), Philly (Ben), Dallas (KP), Utah (Rudy), Clips (PG), Bucks (everyone not named Giannis)....
