Rumor that seems reliable: OKC to send Dennis Schroeder to LAL for Danny Green's corpse and the 28th overall pick.
One would assume that this means Rajon Rondo (FA) will not return. Note that he went to UK and you'll see a pronounced roster shift (or assumption of a shift) to it being UK strong.
Rumor that seems unreliable: James Harden to Nets for Lavert, Dinwiddie, Allen and perhaps draft compensation.
If Houston were to accept Brooklyn's offer, it would be nowhere close to what the Pelicans got for AD.
-Berman is pretty tied into the team. From him it sounds like they aren't interested in Van Vleet. That sucks.
- I would be very happy with Hayes at 8.
- At this point, I would be surprised if Westbrook is not a Knick. It would be awful if they do that rumored package. Under no circumstances should they be sending out any picks or young players.
Other teams could have built better trade packages for AD but he wanted to be a Laker so.
No shot HOU sends Harden somewhere he doesn't want to be. Does not happen in this league.
in the just the last 2-3 years, off the top of my head, the following trades involved all-star caliber players that did not control their destination: Blake to Detroit, CP3 to OKC, PG to OKC, Kawhi to Toronto, Butler to Minnesota, Derozan to SA.
and it's not like they can try and live in the lottery for a few years. They owe quite a few picks to OKC.
He's also 32, with injury concerns. That contract? Hard f'kin pass.
Don't shoot the messenger as I actually hate this pick. I'm not high on him.
I've wanted Kira Lewis.

I'd be very fine with this. Prefer him to Okoro and probably Lewis. Would take Hayes over him but I think the assumption is Hayes won't be there. A great fit with the current roster and someone with a high floor, which in this draft is a nice add.

Also Kyrie to Boston and KP to Dallas too. There's recency bias because last offseason AD and Paul George were both able to force trades to their preferred destinations. But there are more examples in recent years of teams not sending disgruntled stars where they ask to be traded to.

Washington big man Isaiah Stewart said he wore No. 33 while growing up because of Knicks Hall of Fame center Patrick Ewing.

Michael Jordan reportedly wants Russell Westbrook on the Hornets;
“Front office sources tell me Michael Jordan wants the 2016-17 MVP, which is unsurprising and understandable.”
@NYPost_Berman
As usual, Kristaps Porzingis will be treated with extreme caution as Dallas GM Donnie Nelson said he'll likely miss start of season after tearing meniscus during playoffs.

The deal sends Chris Paul and Abdel Nader to the Suns for Kelly Oubre, Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and a 2022 first-round pick, sources tell ESPN.
Berman says Paul wasn't that interested in coming here, OKC let Paul have some say where he was headed.
For NYK, FVV is really the best choice (significantly younger, cheaper and best shooter of CP3, Westbrook and god forbid, John Wall)
Not doubting this but with the money equal if the fucking Pistons beat us out to a blue chip FA We should fold up and start over as an expansion team.
If the Raptors are willing to pay him, you have to think he'll stay there.
Yep and once they get a star there they'll have enough draft capital to surround him with whatever they want.
Why?

dont think the Knicks will get FVV. I'd put the odds 50% Raptors, 40% Pistons, 10% other.

We should probably do this regardless
