Rumor that seems reliable: OKC to send Dennis Schroeder to LAL for Danny Green's corpse and the 28th overall pick.
One would assume that this means Rajon Rondo (FA) will not return. Note that he went to UK and you'll see a pronounced roster shift (or assumption of a shift) to it being UK strong.
Rumor that seems unreliable: James Harden to Nets for Lavert, Dinwiddie, Allen and perhaps draft compensation.
Kira Lewis is with Verus, same as Kevin Knox
What is vassell upside? He def seems to have a lower ceiling then some of the other options (with a higher floor).

he is a 3 and d guy, he is going to be your lock down defender on the perimiter..
Might here lots of fancy words that don't add up to much
That is the problem with this draft, it is a bunch of role players
The same could’ve been said for Klay Thompson and Devin Booker as draft prospects. Doesn’t mean he’ll come close to being as good as those two players but player comparisons are useless.
I am good with Hayes or Lewis

think Hayes can be much more than a role player.
I think the Knicks will regret not taking Lewis. I'm still hearing Vassell.

I like Vassell, but they do need a point guard, Thibs like to put the ball in his guarss hands, it is part of the reason i think they like Westbrook..
Thibs knows he can trust Westbrook to run the offense..

This guy is a troll. Not a real reporter and based on what I saw him tweeting earlier today, isn’t intending to be taken seriously.
Ive said all along i wont be upset with whoever they pick, if its Vassell then i hope he can be a bit more on offense then just a shooter. Im going to at least give this FO a draft and offseason before i start trashing them, lol
The guy is a troll, used to have a different account, just makes up fake stuff to rile up Knicks fans
Couldn't find a full list but I also believe I read Nesmith and Okoro got workouts. They only can do 10 this year so it's limited.
I think previous front offices would have given up mutiple 1st rounders already..
The covington trade does make it seem like the Rockets see the writing on the wall
Love that trade for POR. Covington fits perfectly with that team

Opens the door for Melo to come to the knicks hahaha..
Also opens the door for the Rockets to gice a first to the Knicks in the Westbrook trade
gotta give the Knicks credit for doing this for many years before it became trendy...lol.
I wonder if New Orleans tries to get involved in the Harden talks. They could easily trounce the BKN offer. I don't really see any reason why Houston would take the Nets offer unless they are getting about 5 future 1sts along with those players...
I also wonder if they're trying to move up from 27 to like 15 to try to get whoever of Okoro/Kira/Vassell/Hayes falls.

If they move up from 27, dont rule out RJ Hampton

Text from exec with a lotto pick: "I'd be scared to death to have the #1 pick."
Tough to picture anyone motivated to trade up to #1, except for maybe Charlotte

5 first round picks plus those players is probably the bare minimum. LAC traded 5 firsts and 2 pick swaps for Paul George and that was in addition to SGA and Gallinari. SGA was/is a better asset than any of the players the Nets would be sending.

Here is the pick breakdown on the Jrue Holiday trade:
New Orleans receives
2020 1st (via IND)
2024 right to swap
2025 1st unprotected
2026 right to swap
2027 1st unprotected

I don't get this for Houston. They're trying to win now so they downgrade for two late picks?
Quote:
Covington is a nice player, and this is a weak draft but 2 1sts (including 16th overall)... Houston did well

I think this signals they are shopping westbrook and Harden, Westbrook we knew, but Harden is gone..
Id argue Covington was their 3rd best player, between him and Tucker

So now we have a possible Patrick Williams promise on top of the Bulls not extending a QO to Kris Dunn, which would make you think they're targeting a ball handler.
So who the hell knows what's up.

Pretty sure this just confirms they're rebuilding.
Covington is a GREAT defender and role player. He's not a lockdown defender who can shut individuals down, but he's incredible at team defense. Really enjoyed watching him in Houston. He's a great get by the Blazers. The Blazers should look into flipping CJ McCollum for a more well-rounded two way player and they could be contenders.
I wonder if that bum Tilman Fertitta has anything to say about this whenever he goes on CNBC to whine about his businesses again. Fuck the NBA for letting him be an owner.

Smoke with Patrick Williams getting out of hand.
Teams talking about Chicago eyeing Williams at 4, Pistons possibly making a promise at 7. Though still not sold Detroit passes on Haliburton if he's there. Okongwu going top 6 pushes someone down the board.
