they weren't the best team in the EAST. Here is my post to the game preview and your response:

There is a fine line between realism and pessimism. I think a lot of what you say has merit but, you are saying them in a vacuum. Your assessment of the Giants, the players and the results are all as if no other teams in the league have struggled this year or played in spurts or lack some talent at a few positions. If you want to be fully truthful, we are just as lucky to have won 2 games as we are unlucky to have lost 5 very close contests. The fact is, we are playing very consistent football right now, which is a huge upgrade over the last 5 years and especially the last 3 years.

You point to SY's review about the three straight scoring drives for the Skins BUT, just like I said after the game, so much more is at play there than just the Giants defense allowed three straight scoring drives. If EE doesn't drop a pass, that goes through his hands and hits him square in the face mask, the Giants eat more time off the clock and continue driving towards a potential TD. The entire second half might look completely differently if not for that drop.
But, keeping things as they were, Smith throws int's because the Giants pass rush got to him. Forced him to make throws he didn't want to. Those are wins, victories that our defense got by their overall play!

The Giants offense has to step up but scheme wise we have been able to overcome our lack of pure talent. This team, without turnovers, can win games. I think the Eagles this weekend will find out that they are NOT the best overall team in the division.

You're overthinking this.

The Eagles are still the better team. And they expect to win. Clearly the better team won the game and should have won the first game. The Eagles were healthier than before and we actually played even better than last time. It is time to put the woe is me feelings away and look at this team for what they are- well coached, hard playing, disciplined and improving weekly!
