A guy no one talks about - Burton Burns

Spider56 : 11/16/2020 9:35 am
Yes, the OL under Colombo is really growing together and JG is a solid OC, but a guy I’m impressed with is the RB coach. He’s 68 years old and this is his First year in the NFL ... Since SB got hurt, all 3 of his replacements Gallman, Freeman and Morris) have improved week to week and look well coached. He has an impressive resume with college backs and looks to be really helping our guys get better.
He was the coach I was most excited about

I wonder how good Barkley could be with this line and his coaching.
great point

He does seem to be overlooked. My father-in-law is a huge Alabama fan. He absolutely raved about him when I talked with him after the Giants got him.

great point

ive been blown away by how quickly theyve assimilated the new guys.

and what can you say about Wayne Gallman? he was garbage last year and is a completely different player. guys all over the roster are developing. almost forgot that was possible. Burns has done a great job!

I disagree with Gallman was garbage last year. He was basically never given a chance to play or show what he could do.
Great point!

Certainly Gallman looks more like his college days than his past pro performances!Only difference is the RB coach!
I also can’t think of any major whiffs by our RBs

in pass pro, since Saquon had a couple bad ones early on.

I’m sure there have been a couple missed blocks, but feels like our guys have been well coached there too
