Stat Question

Mike in Boston : 11/16/2020 9:57 am
Looking at the box score, it seems Williams' sack on the conversion try doesn't count. Why does that make sense? It takes the same effort nd skill as a sack on a regular play, and has a bigger impact on the game than many sacks, costing the offense its chance for two points.
I thought about that

as well..
Conversions just aren't a "normal" play

Think of it like taking a class as pass/fail as opposed to getting a letter grade. It's not a "normal" situation.

Time doesn't elapse. Stats aren't accrued.
I was wondering if it counted

I feel like the reason it's not counted is because then you'll have to count conversions as TDs and that doesn't make that much sense since it's 2 points and you were placed near the goal line automatically.

Count it as a sack, I'll bet you that.
