with his pure awareness skills...he knows how to use his body and his hands better than any Giants CB I can think of...He is almost never out of position and even when you think he's been burned he somehow gets a hand into the right spot and knocks the ball loose...I love this guy, like a silent assassin, doesn't run his mouth, let's his play speak for him
I saw a very telling statement on BBI last week, that DG has had an entire draft of CBs in his few years here -- like, literally from Rd 1 (or very high Rd 2?) -- D. Baker -- down through Rd 7 and every tier in between -- and we have exactly nothing to show for it. Our one good CB was a known commodity that we shelled out $$ in FA. I do not want DG drafting CBs for us anymore -- or maybe any position at all.

Not only is this incorrect, it’s also a pretty lazy take. Here are the CB’s Gettleman’s drafted for us over 3-years, by round.
Round 1: Baker is probably on his way to jail. Nothing to do with talent.
Round 3: Beal opted out this year. Nothing to do with talent.
Round 4: Julian Love is playing a safety role, fairly well.
Round 4: Darnay Holmes, has played well for a small nickel corner pressed into other duty
Round 6: Corey Ballantine, recently released.
It’s very unfortunate, but only Ballantine had anything to do with talent, while the needle is pointing up on both Love ans Holmes. Maybe Beal contributes next year.
He is getting paid as a top 10 corner in the League
in the NFL. And arguably in the discussion for the best all-around corner.
I'd be inclined to say he's the most talented corner I have ever seen in a Giants uniform. I was a young kid in the '80s and loved Mark Collins for his all-around skills. He was tremendous in run support. But Bradberry has everything.
For Bradberry? I can't recall. What an addition at this point.
This is a career-high season for him.
Then I am guessing it all clicked for Bradberry late in his panther career, so perhaps they weren't sure about signing him for his demands. Of course, I should also consider how different players can look in different systems.
Bradberry's mix of smarts, speed, hand-eye coordination, timing
Darnay Holmes and Bradberry execute perfectly in the end zone when the Eagles ran two receivers crisscross? I believe it was Holmes and Bradberry. The Eagles are hoping for just the slightest separation from a hesitant db or a db not correctly passing his receiver to his help. Great execution and communication with those guys.
Or, at least things I’ve been led to believe were illegal.
1) he gets very close to the man he’s covering. Like right in his hip pocket. That seems rude and illegal.
2) when the ball is in the air, several times I’ve seen him close the distance between himself and the WT and bat the ball down. Like to the ground! The other guy was trying to catch that, so again, rude! Probably not fair.
3) He sometimes gets in the way of a pass and steals it from the WR. Like, he just TAKES it for himself. Selfish and rude!
I don’t think we want someone of this character on the team. Sends a bad message to children.
Back up, keep your social distance, let them catch it. and miss tackles like a real Giants DB!

than Jenkins and Webster too. He def reminds me of Webster a little bit. Jenkins was a little more versatile and you could put him in different positions. But Jenkins in 2016 had a really talented defensive roster surrounding him. Collins and DRC in the secondary + a really strong DL led by Harrison/JPP/Vernon/Hankins. That defense finished 2nd in the league in PPG allowed. Jenkins was a key player and probably our best DB in hindsight (although most posters here were in love with Collins at the time), but that loaded defense really let us get the best out of his skillset. Bradberry isn't quite as versatile or exciting as Jenkins, but I think he's just a better player in coverage. He's just always in such good position out there. And he isn't benefitting from the same kind of loaded defense that Jenkins had.
was playing that day, was a talented player. Problem is he is a moody guy on the field and often made business decisions when faking a tackle. Jenkins would give up on plays. Have you ever observed Bradberry give up on a play or shy from contact.
Jenkins is faster. But as good as he was, he may play well in 10 games and then not stay focused in the other 6. That was why he was let go from his 1st team - inconsistent play.
The play he made yesterday on the pick play was outrageous.
He absolutely was. When he was on teams didn't even throw at him. It's surprising that the Eagles challenged Bradbury this much.

That was an insane recovery by Bradberry there.
I remember it vividly. Bradberry just feels different. His ability to play the ball without looking at it is fucking nuts.
Jenkins was the benefit of a lot of help both in the secondary and pass rush. We saw him after 2016 too and there were plenty of bad games.

Certainly in the discussion for the best during the Super Bowl era...
We'd could get Fiddy's opinion going back the the Neolithic period. But nobody is around anymore from the Paleolithic! ;)

I like your work here
Bradbury plays hard all the time. His consistency is what makes him so good.
yeah.. these two were the best for sure.
Kudos to Gettleman on this signing for certain.
