I have been on an adventure trying to solve my connectivity problems. You guys in the city have the signal for the most part -- up here in the boonies - and off the beaten trail -- we have no cable or DSL service and over the years I have switched on and off between wireless service from Verizon and Satellite service from Hughes.net
I chanced upon an article about Wilson signal boosters and have been trying to determine if signal boosters work to boost the signal to and from a verizon MiFi hotspot.
Does anyone here have any experience with this?
We have a data cap of 100GB a month, but what is cool is that if you use AT&T TV streaming service, they give you an extra 50GB/mo using that service doesn't count against your data cap. Plus I can use the same account at my place in NOVA too.
The signal booster I got on amazon for about $150. I just looked and they no longer sell it, but there are a bunch in that range or you could also spend a lot more. All I'll say is that the one I use works as advertised and its made it so we can live out there and work during this pandemic.
Good luck!
We do as well in the Adirondacks! Many dead areas which frustrates the heck out of trying to watch a game... giants game for sure!
