- Found 5th round Stud WR1
- Found 3 starting caliber linemen in 1 draft
- Was right about Jones rest of league wrong
- Found Joe Judge out of absolute obscurity, was about to leave the nfl for college.
- Signed the best CB1 in the league through free-agency.
- Robbed CLE in the OBJ trade. Got a play maker in Peppers.
Everybody keep their composure!

that has perhaps the worst record in the league during his tenure. What an absolute GAWD.
The over the top optimism

on this site is becoming as unbearable as the constant negativity was! Obviously not really, but we can’t revisit every trade, DP, free agent signing on a week by week basis.
His first year was bad

but there was a lot of poor decisions making going on in the organization

Since then, he's been more right than wrong

No, it would be hard to match the negativity unless these were Packers fans talking about the beloved Packers.

I don't know whether that's true, but that's the point: Nobody really does. He's had the balls to make decisions he knew would cause short-term pain because he expected long-term gain. Like drafting a bunch of O-linemen and linebackers who obviously wouldn't be really ready for the start of the season. That took some stones. If they pan out, he's going to look a lot better in January than he did in September, and better yet in January 2022. But again, nobody knows yet.

Peppers, Lawrence, Williams, Martinez, Bradberry and hopefully Mckinney produces as well which is what you now can build a defense around. He did miss on Baker but the draft is a hit or miss sometimes but this is beginning to look like a good start to the D. Also hitting on late round picks like Slayton and Lemiuex and have to go back to Accorsi to match the drafting we have now.

Inherited a team with guys that were selfish, (D Harrison, OBJ, JPP etc...) malcontent (E Flowers, J Jenkins, E Apple) overpaid (O Vernon, R Ellison etc) over the hill ( E Manning) overrated ( L Collins)... He restructured that roster with what according to ESPN is the 2nd most talented team under 25 yrs of age. Yea he hasn’t hit on every trade and every draft pick but I enjoy this Giants team much more than any Giants team post 2011.... this team is gritty, smart, tough, resilient, hungry, I love this team. 3-7 never looked better.
Stop. The team is 3-7, not 6-4.

What about this team says they won’t win another game? In fact I think it’s a stone cold lock we win at least 2 and would be willing to wager that.

DG's vision just took time to take shape. And remember this is without one of the best offensive weapons in the league in Barkley. He wanted to beef up the line with Mole Hogies and he did. He wanted a franchise QB and he got one. He wanted an attacking defense that doesn't break in key spots and he got the pieces for that (when experts predicted the 31st or 32nd ranked D). People killed the LW trade as a franchise killer but now he's our best player on a pretty good defense and will get resigned for sure.

He also wanted a star coach and he got that.

He has work to do but can't objectively say he hasn't done a good job here. A couple of Jones fumbles away from 6-4 and on our way to a 10 win season without Saquon.

The negativity was justified considering at one point we had the worst record in the league over a 3 year stretch. Why shouldn't fans be negative about that?

Some of us are simultaneously able to root for wins but also have a rational understanding of whether the team is good or bad.

Sometimes the record is not a true indicator of whats happening.. Same thing with DJ turnovers, just a kid learning to play in NFL wo a line for the first year and a new coach and new coordinator without practice.

Credit has to go the coaching team for developing these players, playing them to their strengths rather than just trying to make them fit a scheme. For me, the big difference between this season and previous is our coaching set-up. I said from early on that Joe Judge shows true leadership qualities - harder to find in the NFL than you might think.
Gettleman's record remains patchy. Was it strategically smart to draft a running back with the #2 pick? The free agent signings are still very hit and miss.

Well...more often than not, it is a true indicator. In fact, far more often.

But 2020 is clearly a year like no other.
Here comes the Propaganda
Bavaro_the_Mafioso : 11/17/2020 12:56 pm : link

Literally has the worst W-L record in the league
Tesla : 11/17/2020 1:19 pm : link
since taking over the Giants.

So he's only been terrible if you consider things like wins and losses. Other than that he's been incredible.
To be fair, we were crap before he got here (thats why he got the job)
PatersonPlank : 11/17/2020 1:35 pm : link
So its not like he took over a good team and ran it into the ground. He took over an aging crappy team, and transformed it into a young (hopefully talented) crappy team, which just may now be showing some benefits. It is year 3 of his rebuild
