MNF: Vikings At Bears

Trainmaster : 11/16/2020 8:27 pm
Do we care much who wins? From a playoff standpoint, doesn’t really matter.

Do we want the Bears to lose in case there are 16 playoff teams?

I’m rooting against the Bears.
These last couple of seasons

interesting commercial

Capital One. Travolta as Santa and Samuel L Jackson as an elf. Quite a few references to Pulp Fiction.

I hadn't seen that before
Can’t hang that INT on Capt Kirk there.

Tough break.

That was quite the steal by the LB Mack

Speaking of which, weren't we in a position to draft Mack years ago but someone grabbed him one or two picks before us?
Mack went 4
trueblueinpw : 11/16/2020 9:26 pm : link
Too bad we didn’t grab Bortles...

Yeash...
Looking back on that draft class - ( New Window )

with a 104 yard KO return to open the third quarter. Wow.
wow!

way to start the half
Dwayne Harris
jnoble : 11/16/2020 9:50 pm : link
There's one player I don't miss. He never came close to returning a punt or kickoff for a TD for us if I recall correctly. My only memory of him was catching the ball, dancing around a bit and immediately getting tackled
These are two teams in QB hell
jvm52106 : 11/16/2020 10:04 pm : link
soon if not now. Cousins contract is killer and the Bears have a 1st rd QB who just doesn't have it and a FA that clearly lives off the SB game with the Eagles.

Both teams will be looking for a QB in the off season and could be looking for new coaches too.
Am I crazy
Jim in Forest Hills : 11/16/2020 10:31 pm : link
Or can the giants beat both these teams?
Kicker almost had a chance there...
trueblueinpw : 11/16/2020 10:39 pm : link
But, kickers gonna kick

Harris returned a punt against the Jets and a kickoff against the Cowboys. He was good during his his time here.

Did he? I don't remember that. I just recall being let down by him often

Ok cool. Yeah, I don't recall that. So he did have his moments now and again I guess lol
Foles is definitely hurt
jvm52106 : 11/16/2020 11:07 pm : link
there. They called for the cart. That could be transverse process injury like Hostetler had in 92..
Never seen so many replays of an injury...
trueblueinpw : 11/16/2020 11:08 pm : link
Odd
He’s good n fucked up

Hopefully he didn't seriously hurt a vertebrae or similar
Not sure this Bears team
LBH15 : 11/16/2020 11:12 pm : link
is going to win another game.
Damn Foles slammed to the ground
Route 9 : 11/16/2020 11:13 pm : link
....

Worst game ending throw ever by the back up QB for Chicago lol
If you’re a Bears fan

What would give for Daniel Jones? Holy quarterback hell...
Do we care much who wins?
BelieveJJ : 11/17/2020 7:45 am : link
From a draft tiebreaking SOS POV, we should want the Bears to win.
Both teams need
Gettledogman : 11/17/2020 8:38 am : link
to find a QB
Dalvin Cook
section125 : 11/17/2020 9:08 am : link
is some kind of RB. Guy is a threat to be gone on every hand off, he and Alvin Kamara and I think Cook is scarier.

I hate going there as it's wasteful and even childish, but since it's Philly I will make the exception. They had one of the more easier draws that 2017-18 postseason. You beat the stupid Falcons and Vikings in Philly to get to a super bowl. Then you beat a highly flawed Pats team that had no defense.

The Eagles won that super bowl in the regular season by gaining home field advantage. Good for them, but NFL spread its legs for Philly that year. What can you do....shit happens.
Just no to the Bears in primetime
Jim in Forest Hills : 11/17/2020 10:23 am : link

It's probably the game, other than the Giants 2007 win, that Bellichick will shake his head over until he leaves the Earth.

Score 40+ points in a Super Bowl, but lose to Nick Foles, a career backup QB.

You have to wonder how much benching their starting corner hurt that game.............
All I remember was Foles faced absolutely NO
Route 9 : 11/17/2020 11:19 am : link
pressure on that dreadful day.
Feel bad for Foles and that injury
ryanmkeane : 11/17/2020 1:36 pm : link
but man, he is borderline unwatchable.

Bizarre decision to say the least.

Doug PEterson and Foles were good enough for one month and that's all that counts. Timing is everything. That's why it pays to be good 6-7 times a decade, you keep knocking one day you just might break through. Hopefully they never sniff February ever again
Doug Pederson was carried to a Super Bowl by Frank Reich
