What would it take for you to feel comfortable bringing him back into the rotation? Could provide some much needed help, but I'm having a tough time squaring that with what he allegedly did.

1st of all we do not know

what he did. I have looked and never saw exactly what he did.
2nd, is this a recurring issue? Did he do this before and is he still doing whatever it was he did.

I believe he will be back and barring continued "aggression" should be back.
Was it over

When the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
Thanks

for the relevant response section. I tend to agree, and yes, what he did was alleged and not fully documented in detail. I do think they'll bring him back.

a strong spring training

I understand you are having a tough time squaring away his actions but if he proves he can still win games he'll be accepted back and things will move forward.
Would love to trade him...

It seemed to me like he was pitching at his peak level with it unlikely he would continue to match that level in the future...at least not consistently.

he's 28. what has he done to make you think he can't be consistent anymore?

Yeah, especially since he was getting better control of his pitches and pitching deeper into the games.

Just a hunch, I could be wrong. It wasn't like he was consistent to begin with when you're talking about only one season of high level performance and IIRC he wasn't as effective in his last few starts before the suspension.
They Gave Aroldis Chapman a Second Chance

Don't see why they wouldn't bring back German provided they are convinced he truly regrets what he did and has reformed himself
Seemed to me
flicker, flea : 11/17/2020 10:15 am : link
that he was getting both better and more consistent.

And indeed, it seems the precedent was set with Chapman.
turns out he made a start last night

The Yankees pitcher threw four hitless, scoreless innings, with one walk and seven strikeouts, for Toros del Este in his 2020 Dominican League debut Monday night. It was the righty’s first time pitching in a professional game in 14 months after serving an 81-game suspension for violating MLB’s domestic violence protocols.
I couldn't care less

if he can pitch and the Yanks are ok with things, he can pitch here until 2030 for all I care. He has to sleep at night not me.
