Any of the old guest spots were carrying over to the new show. They said goodbye to Banks, Costello, Dottino. Carton must have his own guys he wants to use. Haven’t listened to the new show and don’t plan on it.

Hey Bro was not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he had a chemistry with Evan and they genuinely seemed to like each other. In this duo, whoever Evan's new partner is (Carton?), he wants to be the Alpha Male with in the first week. Unlistenable.

I switched over while in the car and couldn't agree more. Evan seems like a smart guy, he knows who signs his paycheck so it will be interesting to see how he navigates this.
the inter-show wars between Esiason/Giannotti and Carton/Roberts are already making BOTH of these shows unlistenable. It's worth listening in the off-hours when other guys are on now just to hear some real sports talk. Not sure why FAN went down this road!

I'm 3 hours behind, so my "drive time" show is the midday show. I used to listen to Joe & Even in the morning. I listen on the radio.com app.
I want to like Maggie & Moose, but I find their interplay sort of forced — as if they're straining to find something to disagree about. Overall, I find them kind of dull. But they may need time to find their stride.
The best show on WFAN is the warmup show with Al and Jerry
but that bit yesterday with Carton and the pies was so cringe-worthy that I actually had second-hand embarrassment for Carton. I actually want them to beat the shit out of the Michael Kay show in the ratings, but if this is what the show is gonna be like, I don't see them winning the ratings. Evan just sort of sits in the background and lets out fake, little laugh noises every now and then when Carton is doing his bits just to remind us that he is still there, but it's not good. Kinda feel bad for Evan, but he is a geek with awful taste in teams, so whatever. I'm looking forward to when their first ratings book comes out to see how they do. Should be interesting.

Man I totally agree. Feel bad for Evan, whom I like and is a serious sports person. Carton’s a clown, and I’m not saying this because my wife went to the HS Prom with him! His takes are HORRIBLE

If it was more sports focused I’d be all about it because Carton can be entertaining, but it’s veered way to far off that. I’d rather listen to podcasts if I’m not getting football talk in middle of football season.
Outside of Evan on Saturday, JJ (although now that he's full on "The Gambling Guy!" its a little tiring) and a dash of Somers just for that old school feel.
I actually miss Bart Scott and Maggie doing the show after Carlin left. Never was a big Carlin guy and Bart and Maggie actually seemed to have decent chemistry. But Maggie and Moose is just terrible.
Carton and Roberts seems destined to flame out, but I guess who knows. The WFAN brass might think two conflicting personalities worked with Mike and Dog, but both of those guys weren't gonna back down to the other. Evan doesn't seem like that kind of person, which is why he's already being drowned out.
Personally, if the show doesn't work out and WFAN lets Evan go, it'd be great to see Evan jump to ESPN NY and get paired up Bart (Alan Hahn is terrible) or if Kay eventually decides he doesn't want to do double duty anymore, get the afternoons with Don.

I'll put it on for a moment or two when in the car but gone are the days I would listen for hours on end while working. For them to drive me away, that's saying something. I used to be a loyal listener. Even this past week, after finally seeing NYG get a good win, which usually meant sports talk was a must listen for me, I gave Carton and Evan a short try and turned it off once Carton and Even started debating about Westbrook to the Knicks. Really it was Carton that drive me away. I just hate most of his takes.
And my god Moose and Magi are fucking terrible. I have always been pretty tolerant of the talkies, but they just keep getting worse.
