As a salary dump for them I am interested. We don't have many options right now and while I wouldn't bet on Russ becoming a better teammate there are plenty of players that figure out how to be more selfless to win. I'm intrigued with him and Thibs perhaps making him an even better defender and how no nonsense he is. If Russ ever learned to force his shot less he could be the #1 on a championship team. Plan is probably to field a compeititve team and then when Russ and Hayward are done Rj, Toppin and Mitch will be ready to take over with their other draft picks in the future
is a guy who is prolly best with the ball in his hand as a slasher, this year we took an offensively skilled big. So lets go out and get a guy who literally dominates the ball 90% of the time. Per league sources: The New York Knicks have tendered a Two-Way qualifying offer to Jared Harper. Harper will now be a restricted free agent.
He’s still a great player and we’d (hopefully) be giving up pennies on the dollar in the trade. The cons in paying him all that loot are mitigated greatly by the low cost to get him. Plus it’s 3 years not 5. Big difference in my view.

But this Toppin kid looks liie he can dash to the net. Can he be taught how to d up?

He had the worst 3pt percentage in the league among players taking three 3pts per game or more. (Except for injured Steph Curry, whose percentage dropped to 25 percent from 43 percent the year before.)
Westbrook also tied for second in the league in turnovers per game.
Far, far from a sure thing that adding a declining RW will translate to wins.
