If they would accept that deal from NYK, beautiful. Idk if they want Randle though. And if that means NYK really LOVE Ball and think he is a legit future AS PG, fine. I’m not a GM so I don’t know scouting like these pros do, but if so Ball had better hit! Mitch is more likely than Randle in a GSW trade....
that even if you can go out and add shooters you are at best going to have 2 good shooters in your lineup and 3 bad ones. Thats not really a recipe for success in todays NBA.

The Sixers are sending a lightly-protected 2025 first-round pick and the 34th overall pick in tonight's draft, sources tell ESPN. The Thunder are also sending Terrance Ferguson to the Sixers with Green

If that Tobias contract was just like a year or so shorter id consider taking him with Korkmaz, #21 and our second back (we send back Randle and filler). Harris would be a good fit with this team and is still fairly young. But MAN that contract is awful.
Or are we focusing on non-core guys Frank, whom may not be here much longer? Or Knox, whom plays the four and can't play Defense like Randle, and Toppin?
My point, you guys are focusing on pieces that aren't long term solutions. Knox can shoot it. Can't play D, or defend the 3/4. Similar to Randle. Can score but not defend. Toppin is 22. Okoro is 19.Your not building your team for next year. Your building it looking past 2021.
I'm making bets on people that contribute on both ends of the floor, while developing the jumper. I don't know a lot of players that come into the league shooting a high % from the outside and are complete players. Okoro would be well out of our Range if he was polished shooter and go before Edwards. His jumper form is more projectable than Lamelo's.
we are talking about Mitch (not a shooter) and RJ (not a shooter). Those are the guys we are building our team around right now. So the first 3 pieces of your team are all non shooters. Look if the Knicks think that Okoro is head and shoulders the best player then fine, just on paper he doesnt seem like the best fit with RJ and Mitch.

Hearing Isaac Okoro has risen high on the Cavaliers board. Any motivation to swap with the Knicks would be tied to Cleveland's interest/ability to get Okoro at 8.

So basically if NYK moved up to 5, Cleveland really may also want Okoro hence they want more than 8+23? NYK should sit back and take Vassell at 8 and still have a pick at 23, or maybe Tobbin falls to 8 and they don’t have to trade up.

It sure seems like teams are operating under the impression that Deni Avdija is going 4th to Chicago. That's why #Cavs would be willing to move down. Why Knicks would trade up to 5, believing Cavs wouldn't let Obi Toppin get to 8. Why Detroit has considered moving up (Williams)
to make moves that are poor value, lol. I had been talking myself into Obi as good value if he fell to 8, but to give up all our picks for him sux. I was excited about adding 3 solid players today and now we could add one player who im not that thrilled about.

Am i crazy for likely Toppin? they obviously need to then move randle
I get that it’s a weak draft but man that seems like a great use of cap space. Ariza is on a 12 million expiring. Seems like a no brainer.
I don’t get why the Knicks seem so averse to these types of deals. Just cut Bobby Portis and there’s your cap space for this move.
