Good morning everyone... I have a difficult decision to make in a half PPR league.
Tonight, the Cardinals travel to Seattle and I have Chase Edmonds who is clearly getting fewer touches than Drake again.
Meanwhile, I have both Mixon and Gio Bernard and it looks like Mixon is going to miss another week. They are playing at Washington. So, I have the starting RB no matter what happens with Mixon's injury.
The decision needs to be made by these evening obviously.
Pain in the ass.
Are you certain Mixon is out still?
My question is would you start Bernard over Duke Johnson? I'm leaning towards yes on that one.
Choices are crap. I need to pick one of:
A Smith
Flacco
Winston
Luton
I'd go Winston, but I don't know if I trust Payton to play him the whole game.
I have Mixon also... so I get the starting RB in Cinci regardless

Probably. Honestly Duke isn't even on my radar...has he done anything since like week 1?

David Johnson is on IR and he's the starter and will get the bulk of the work. It would be a volume pick really. I'm not going to start him over Bernard if Mixon remains out.

While he didn't score a lot against the Steelers, that was a bad day for that entire offense. He's a volume based starting RB against a WFT def that can be had. Of course, this is all based on the assumption that Mixon is out. If he isn't, then C.Edmunds is the way to go.

You're in a great position then. Just make sure to check the status if they make it a game time decision.
I've been making a living off of backup RBs in the past few weeks with relying on W.Gallman, D.Dallas (now C.Hyde), G.Bernard, and J.Williams in one league. My starting RBs are J.Robinson and J.Taylor.
In another league, I benched both of my starting RBs (J.Taylor, L.Fournette) this week while W.Gallman is on a Bye. Picked up K.Ballage, D.Harris, S.Ahmed, and C.Hyde (crazy that I was able to pick them all up off of waiver) and will start three of the four.
RBs have been hit hard this season by injuries...ugh.
I had Duke Johnson in my PPR league...he was a huge disappointment but so were M.Davis and C.Edmunds.
I still have Deejay Dallas in reserve but would like not to play him. Only other choice is Philip Lindsay or search the waiver wire.

D.Dallas has been surpassed by A.Collins; however, C.Hyde is a go this week, so I assume that it'll be C.Hyde as the primary back and A.Collins and T.Homer splitting time as backups. I'm starting C.Hyde in two .5PPR leagues.

to be a question. Word was he looked good to return this week but now a report has surfaced he will sit.

Alex collins is available in my league. Picking him up now and will make call on start later.
Thanks!
You need to wait until the afternoon reports, too early to make a decision now. But if you have Mixon and Bernard it doesn’t really matter anyway.
RB:
Jacobs vs KC
Cook vs DAL
Sanders @CLE
Taylor vs GB
WR:
Allen vs NYJ
Claypool @JAX
Fuller vs NE
Moore vs DET
Pittman vs GB
Mims @LAC
Right now I have
Jacobs, Sanders, and Cook (flex)
and Allen and Claypool
just want a sanity check, I guess it comes down to Claypool vs Fuller or Moore
except last Sunday when he caught 5 passes for 38 yards.
And I had Claypool on my bench with two TDs and DJ Moore on my bench with a TD and almost 100 yards receiving.
Had I started either Claypool or Moore I would have won. Fuller has good games, but he's inconsistent. I hate him.
Godwin
R Woods
Jakobi Meyers
I need THREE and I am actually considering sitting Thomas until he proves he can produce with Winston behind center. He has also been the least productive of this group since he returned from injury.

Probably drop Meyers or maybe Woods. I have Woods and while he is consistent he just doesn't get the high number of targets he should in that offense. Goff is killing me on one of my teams.
Lockett has a "slight knee injury" If he is playing should I play him or bench him for either Boyd vs Wash or Woods vs Tampa? Tonight's game vs AZ could be a shoot out and I bet Peterson will cover Metcalf most of the time.
Justin Jefferson vs DAL
Brandin Cooks vs NE
Travis Fulgham @CLE
Cooper Kupp @TB
and then after selecting on of them for WR2
would you start anyone of them not selected at Flex over
RoJo vs LAR
Right now I have Jefferson and RoJo

If Lockett plays I'd play him. Boyd is a good choice otherwise (better in PPR, but still a good backup plan).

Just go Winston. Come on man. You want those other guys in those offenses? Fortune favors the bold. Don't be scared, just play Winston. They'll be plenty of meat on the bone for him even if Taysom Hill has a robust package.

Like last time these two teams matched up back in week 7, Peterson was on Metcalf most of the game, and Metcalf had a 2.30 fantasy points while Lockett only had 200 yards and 3 TDs. So yeah, uh, Lockett's a pretty good play tonight.

I'm always playing A.J. Brown if he's playing. I think he's an automatic start. As for the 2nd question, I'll split the baby here and play Jefferson in PPR formats and RoJo in standard.
My other WR is Hopkins, so I can't sit him.
I can play both Jefferson and Brown if I sit RoJo - which I may do. He was on my bench this past Sunday and I survived his huge day.
Jefferson and Rojo were on my bench Sunday in favor of Brown and Cupp and despite my poor decision making i still won.
Godwin
R Woods
Jakobi Meyers

I actually think the change to Winston is good for Thomas. Winston loves those big-bodied, boundary receivers. Last year, Godwin was WR2 overall in fantasy, and in 2018, Evans was WR6. While Brees will spread the ball all over the field, Winston we know will force the ball to his #1 a lot, unafraid of taking chances, for better or for worse.
Godwin and Meyers for the other two. For Meyers, it's about the volume he's getting in recent weeks, he's definitely established a rapport with Newton, and this is a fantastic matchup upcoming against Houston. The only way I take some pause here and consider Woods is in the unlikely event Julian Edelman returns for week 11.
My other WR is Hopkins, so I can't sit him.

The Cowboys have been very leaky to WRs, CB is the weakness of that defense, so there is justification to Jefferson. I like Cook more in this matchup...as game script may be a factor here. Brown doesn't have a good matchup against the Ravens, but as for me I'm unafraid to play him, as he's done some of his best work against top competition, notching big games against Chicago, Pittsburgh and Buffalo so far this year.
Fine to sit RoJo if you have a conviction on Jefferson. You never know when Fournette is going to eat back into RoJo's volume.
Melvin Gordon vs Dolphins
Darrell Henderson @ Buccaneers
Salvon Ahmed @ Broncos
Nyheim Hines vs Packers
J.K. Dobbins vs Titans
7-3 but still think this is a must-win as the closing sched is difficult. I do have Nuk Hopkins and D.K. Metcalf tonight, so hopefully they both can go off and give me some cushion.

Everyone has a bad game. Look at Hopkins two weeks ago. Then last week!

I thought Collins was returned back to Seattle's practice squad.
Currently:
QB: R.Wilson
RB1: K.Ballage
RB2: C.Hyde
WR1: D.Adams
WR2: J.Meyers
TE: T.Kelce
FLEX: D.Harris
Def: Vikings
K: R.Bullock
My bench:
J.Taylor vs GB
C.Hyde vs Arz
L.Fournette vs LAR
S.Ahmed @ Den
D.Harris @ Hou
J.Meyers @ Hou
T.Fulgham @ Cle
There are also a few players available in FA as well that are interesting:
FA RB:
M.Brieda @ Den
J.Wilkins vs GB
D.Henderson @ LAR
M.Ingram vs Ten
FA WR:
J.Reynolds @ TB
M.Pittman vs GB
S.Watkins @ LV
KJ.Hamler vs Mia
Melvin Gordon vs Dolphins
Darrell Henderson @ Buccaneers
Salvon Ahmed @ Broncos
Nyheim Hines vs Packers
J.K. Dobbins vs Titans

Ahmed is the hot hand, I'd put him in
then it gets dicey.
It seems like LAR are really going with a RBBC. I don't trust any of them.
Same with IND expect Hines has the pass catching back locked I think but probably would be TD dependent.
So then it's Gordon or Dobbins. I like both as RB3/flexes, but for one game I think I'd rather rely on Gordon.

Of course, but I have literally lost two weeks because I played Fuller over another player. I tried all year to trade him and no interest. I can't cut him, but I don't ever want to play him again if I have a similar option or unless someone convinces me I'm being irrational - lol.

I like it, thanks PJ.
