Really fun player to watch, seems like a super good dude. Was looking forward to rooting on GSW as the good guys post-KD vs the Lakers - gonna be much harder for them now.

Yeah, I really liked the Warriors when they built their team through the draft with Curry, Green, and Thompson. Rooted against them once they got Durant, then liked them again once Durant left.
They still would have drafted Wiseman if they knew Klay was kaput for another year (and maybe for good)?
Yes. I’m pretty sure after seeing Durant, the doctors had a pretty clear idea that it was an Achilles injury. This really could be why Wiggins won’t be traded this season. Wiggins is definitely not Klay, but he’s the closest thing they have. Draymond is a natural 4 let him play there and Wiseman is incredible with a Bosh like shot. This team still can be scary good.
Really feel for the guy. Love watching him play. You would think at this point he hopes to return for the 2nd half of 2022. Thats a really tough break and hard timeline for a great player.
that was the Warriors championship run was due to good health. Uncharacteristically good health -- injuries were a massive part of the Warriors' bad fortunes for years.
Hopefully this doesn't foreshadow a return to that!

I don't know that they can be scary good. They will be a playoff team if healthy. They could even be a top 4 seed in the West.
But are they beating the Lakers or Clippers? I don't see it. Curry is their only star player. Oubre was a good trade, so they have him to go with Draymond, Wiggins, Paschall, and Wiseman. But all of those guys are either flawed players, role players, and a rookie who played 3 college games
2 major injuries back to back is brutal.

Yeah, it'll be tough for him to come back as the same player after this.

Yes, they likely knew this prior to the draft.
