I brought him up early in the 2018 college season as a player to watch. I had never seen anyone like him as a D1 college QB - the arm talent, the speed, and the impeccable quickness.
But as a guy who puts a lot of stock in size, I just couldn't endorse him as a high pick. I thought for sure his diminutive stature would backfire.
However, I watch him now and he's an absolute marvel. He plays like he's 6'2". Every skill he showed at Oklahoma has conveyed to the pros. His ability to make throws off balance, off script, make plays with his legs is the highest level stuff.
A MVP candidate for this year and many years to come...
Sometimes I wonder if people here watch other games in NFL. Every QB misses 1 or 2 a game. The only one I can thing of that didn’t was Brees in his prime.

Maybe. I was a big believer of his coming out because I was really annoyed by the size talk. However, what they are running is very novel in the NFL. Very curious what the NFL comes up with this offseason. KK may have a revolutionary scheme and the player to run it, but he’s another guy with piss poor in game decision making with an undisciplined football team.

I guess we're not watching the same game. I see the remarkable throws off the scramble from time to time, but Wilson is outplaying him by far at the half.

I have no idea what you are talking about. My comments weren't about this game. They were about Murray in general.
OL on the Cards but they have lots of nice weapons on offense.
Don't buy the Murray-MVP talk. Brees, Brady, Rodgers, and Wilson are above him anyway. Then there's this guy in KC.
Murray is likely going to going to throw for 4K yards, rush for 1K yards and lead his team to the playoffs in the toughest division in the NFL. So that is MVP-ish in my book...
And for the record, all the QBs you mentioned also are loaded with weapons.

I was posting in a game thread between the Seahawks and the Cardinals ...
What are you talking about? I see two undisciplined teams with poor defenses getting bailed out by sloppy offensive play. It’s a Thursday game, but neither of these teams look sharp.

Don’t we have some bet going that involves tickets to a game?
Playoff game lol. Have we beaten a team with a winning record yet? No, but we’ve been awfully close and we are playing better football seemingly every week.

I said I’d give you tickets to a regular season game if we make the playoffs this year.
did Metcalf drop that TD pass? It hit him right in the facemask.
That was the most disappointing 13.6 point fantasy game I've ever witnessed...
DK had a 41 yard reception nullified by a questionable holding call, got tackled by Peterson on another deep ball that would have been a huge play, dropped the TD Pass you are referencing, and dropped that crossing route where he could have been off to the races for a long TD...
Vance Joseph calling a lot of blitzes... very aggressive.
One other comment on Cardinals is that their OL is very shaky
If Engram and Slayton catch the ball we are going to either shred them through the air, or bully their light front on the ground. These next three games are going to look much different than what we’ve played this year
The Giants don’t have a win against a team with a winning record
Let’s see if that happens this year.
True but what happened in September through October might as well be 3 years ago. I’m not giving this team 6 wins let alone 7 just yet, but the giants are clearly playing much better ball than 6 weeks prior.
Let’s see it shake out. Ravens were unbeatable last month. Now they look ordinary. And I can’t put the cards in unbeatable territory just yet, no matter how awesome murray is. That team is solid but slow down.
You have to focus on the little things when watching this team...
just like the coaches do. You also have to look at WHY we are not executing and is it due to a talent deficiency, technique, communication, etc.
Let's talk about the defense for example. I do not see too many plays where we are beaten one on one vs prior years. I do not see as many communication problems where someone is running free in open space with two of our guys looking at each other. I do not see as many days where we walk away saying we did not tackle well as a whole. We are doing a better job stopping the run. I see backups stepping in and they are doing the job well enough without being a liability that the opposition is looking to expose.
Now, even if these improvements above have not resulted in wins yet, we are getting there. We are also not getting blown out like we have in prior seasons.
are both very enjoyable to watch. They both seem to scramble so intelligently. And perhaps it's their baseball backgrounds, but their compact rotational strength gives them such abilities to throw on the run, across their bodies, and from bizarre angles.
I look forward to several more match-ups between these two.
The Seattle defense has been shit but they are hard to beat at home.
Been there many times. I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Nice place to visit but not the best place to live and work.

That's a stadium I'd like to get to sometime. Seattle is an awesome city, very underrated.

I enjoy it... but man there is a HUGE homeless problem there. It was eye opening the last time I was there last year.
The city is awesome, it’s the people that suck. Although that’s changing a bit.

That's bad. This previous regime sucked so much ass rebuilding the line.
Seattle is bring in 5-6 and Kyler is rustled.

But his hands are average...at best.

We're going to get our asses handed to us by either of these teams in the coming games if our D doesn't show up to play

Murray is certainly ahead of Brady and Brees at this point. It’s not 2015 anymore.

I agree about Brady, not sure about Brees, but for me Big Ben and Allen are playing even better than Murray so far.

Why is Arizona only rushing 2 or 3 guys on defense? Giving Russell all day in the pocket is not a good idea.

I see one defensive front we’ll manhandle and the Hawks defense are going to have lots of trouble with Engram, Slayton, and DJs speed.

Simmons did look good. He looked thicker, too...to me, anyway.

That is correct.
The physical size/speed and low body fat percentages are about the only valid comparison right now between the two.
Let's see Metcalf produce at all pro level for several seasons, and potentially multiple teams before making the comparison.
TO was closer to Moss than DK Metcalf, and probably was a better all around WR than Moss. People just hung up on Moss' GOAT level deep threat ability.
TO nearly singlehandedly won a SB for the Eagles, coming off the broken leg. I think in the annals of WRs, he's a bit underrated still.
Metcalf sort of reminds me of Plax. It's like throwing to a giraffe.
I look forward to several more match-ups between these two.
