Im all in on Joe Judge, but I am against changing anything when things are going good like the last 2 games.
I think we will be fine but if things go sour, you got a 3 win rookie coach who definitely put himself at risk of losing the team with this thing.
Parcells and Coughlin together have more Super Bowls than this guy has wins....
It was a calculated risk, firing an O line coach after you are done facing all of your toughest Defensive lines. But it could go all wrong.
He seems to avoid drama at all costs.....could this have been kept "in house"? What happened to handling things internally?
Now the microscope is on, and I guess we will see what happens....
All opinions aren’t equal. There’s ones that are rooted in reason and others that seem to pull shit from the sky. There’s others that are based off lies.
All fine to give but certain ones can and will cause the poster to take shit.
Depending on which story you believe Judge is either a tyrant or a HC running his team with a unique vision and purpose. I know which one I believe and if you believe the other I guess that’s your right. But there’s no proof of it at all.

And who becomes the arbiter of which opinion "deserve" to be heard and which don't? Its a slippery slope

Googs, If someone is going to start a thread and title it “Judge frankly has not done enough to act the way he acts” he needs to at least provide us with some evidence as to how exactly Judge is acting. He’s been asked several times and refuses to respond. So, how is Judge acting? And what the hell does it mean that he hasn’t done enough to act whatever way the op thinks he’s acting? He’s the one that started the thread so why isn’t he answering the damn questions? He didn’t simply post something buried in a thread. He started a thread. Opinions are fine. Uneducated opinions that you can’t back up or are unwilling to back up are trash opinions. Sure he’s allowed to have them. But you seem more concerned about the responses to the op. Which isn’t surprising...
Judge takes a hands on approach and the OL starts improving. Significantly. He corrects a technique issue with Gates, Colombo apparently didn’t like that and openly disagreed. Judge then corrects Colombo. (You never openly disagree with the head man in public. Private sure. But never public.)
Judges brings in Guglielmo to “consult”. He knows him. He trusts him. He knows he will teach it the way he wants it. Colombo doesn’t like this and has a fiery confrontation with Judge. Colombo is fired. Not like Colombo was turning out positive results.
Sounds like people want it both ways. They want a tough, detail oriented, smart team and coaching staff but not the accountability and attitude that come with that. Everyone wants Bill Belichick or Nick Saban like results but they’d like it with a velvet hammer and without the attitude. Well that’s not how life works most of the time.
And we’ve been a lousy football team for 8 years. Let’s put this in perspective. Judge is easily the best HC since Coughlin.

Not googs fyi.
And my post had nothing to do with how the Original Poster responds to other posters' questions in-thread nor do I think he is required to do so. And since when does any OP need to provide support to or back up an opinion, particularly for a situation like this one. He threw out a bit of spicy view and folks can chime in accordingly. It's not like any of them have all the facts either.
What's surprising is anybody trying to suppress a fair view or opinion which is what I took it to be.

Sounds like bigblueshock wants that job.
Certainly it was to some degree, and sometimes they also make for decent debates.
What the hell would you guys rather talk about...how Peart has Covid?
Op is free to post whatever he wants under the Ts and Cs of BBI, doesn’t mean others can’t point out flaws in the opinion.

Totally agree. Just looks like a few of the folks responding very early in this thread weren't pointing out anything other than their own flaws.
The only article that has been critical of Judge was the piece by Silver that said he was "haughty" and "off-putting to some in the organization". First off assertiveness, confidence, whatever you want to call it, will almost always rub some people the wrong way. Especially in leadership positions.
Second, some people in the Giants organization dont like Judge? Shocker! Here's a news flash: very, very few people are loved by all. Even fewer tasked with leading any kind of team or organization. You can literally make that claim about any coach the Giants have ever had or any current head coach in the league. From the established Belichick's and Tomlin's to the newer HCslike Fangio and Kingsbury...someone-multiple people-in those buildings dont like those guys.
Bottom line: the head coach had to step in to help a struggling unit. The position coach encouraged insubordination from a player and was openly insubordinate himself, culminating in a shouting match and name-calling. There aint a job in the world where that isn't going to be a problem, especially one where there are literally only 32 positions available at any given time.
If McAdoo or Shurmur had this issue theyd shuffle deck chairs as the ship continued to sink. Thank God the owners managed to get out of their own way ajd find a guy with a set if grapes. This hand-wringing is absurd.

Perfectly stated, +1

But frankly the OP is right and this and his supposed cockiness(if true) is something that can turn people off quickly. Think about it, say one of the leaders of the team gets into it and players think judge is in the wrong. That kind of shit wears thin quickly. Hope this is all a moot point cause I really like JJ
What cockiness are you talking about? WTF are you guys even talking about?
I don't know what people are talking about. He's just a guy with a 3-7 record who has an extremely poor roster playing competitive football.

Oh, you are definitely Jimmy Googs. Might s well stop denying it nobody believes you.
What if the employees have only been on the job with that manager for about 8-10 weeks and their team/units performance threatens to put the company out of business... You might be stretching the similarities a bit here.
You are WAY overthinking this. Coaches get fired in the NFL all the time. Has there ever been a complete meltdown by the players following one of these firings? Let alone a position coach that has been around all of about 10 weeks? Exactly which OLineman on this team do you think is comfortable enough to lead this rebellion?
That you for asking that question, Eric. I was thinking the same.
Yep. Jimmy Googs = LBH15

Not really. The OP fails to mention pertinent claims from respected reporters (who have far more access than most of us fans) as well as at least one insider who said that Columbo engaged Judge in a loud confrontation with his boss inculding calling him a vulgar name and physical content. This is in addition to Judge having spent more time coaching the O line himself because he wasnt happy with what Columbo was doing. This doesnt sound like a head coach who acted impulsively as the OP is intimating.
FRANKLY, his opinion I actually think is not worthy to consider.

Yaah!... keep it going from a true dupe himself. No posts whatsoever other than this. Probably posting on this same thread under another name. Too cool.

Not a dupe, just primarily a lurker. I guess I’ve made it my mission for everybody to know who you really are. I understand it’s probably annoying from your point of view. I’d go away if you’d finally just admit it.
LBH15 = Jimmy Googs. 100%.
That was a quick (and funny) response Googs! Touché!
Jimmy Googs torpedoing another thread. Just admit it Jimmy!
I can admit I’m a clown. Can you admit you are Jimmy Googs?
A fucking trainwreck.
lord.
lord.
I'm not saying anything is an embarrassment. You did it on your own, Ace.
Ace.
lord.
Well, and I believe I have mentioned this before, I hope you are Googs. I was fond of Googs. Some of the best theater at BBI were the daily rows between him and the FatMan in Charlotte.
And I had Googs with a winning record over FMiC.
If you aren't, you certainly do a damn good impression... ;)

So if Googs was still here under that original handle, you would still just be a lurker?
That makes me miss Jimmy Googs.

You don’t have to miss him, he’s LBH15. I’ll quit bothering him when he finally fesses up to the truth.
I think Clown fits best.

I’ve never changed handles. You think I’m Fats? That’s funny. I’m willing to prove it. Ask the kids. Are you willing to do the same with your reincarnation from Jimmy Googs? That’s what I thought.
Lord.
