Lots of action and you can see the overall story arc now coming together.
We now know Boba Fett is alive but what is his role in Mando's endgame?
Seeing Bo Katan and name dropping Ahsoka Tano is huge for us Star Wars fans, almost had a nerdgasm in the Heiress episode. He will see Tano in EP 5, that one was directed by Filoni who loves Tano. I also thought Bryce Dallas Howard did a great job directing, some of the visuals were remarkable.
Last episode pulled together the Baby Yoda story line, honestly it looks like it will take a very dark turn. I can see Moff getting Baby Yoda and creating a force sensitive weapon in himself or those clone tubes. I'm thinking it will be himself. Can't wait to see the Dark Saber vs Bo Katan? Ahsoka?
I can see Cara Dune's story arc starting to pivot as well, will she bring the New Republic into this fight at the end? Will they get crushed as the New Order is assembled? Maybe season 3 for that.
The thing about Filoni, I don't think he cares about happy endings, just really good story telling. He let people die in Rebels and TCW. That might not bode well for Baby Yoda though the season.
Are you guys enjoying the season? Thoughts?
Very excited where this is heading. Was starting to get annoyed with the chapter by chapter feel, but it’s all coming together now and they are going dark which is awesome.
Said it to my son at the end of last nights episode, Luke, Chewbacca, Han, etc. could all pop up at some point.
One thing on my mind the entire episode last night is Carano looks like she could play nose guard for Notre Dame. Man she is getting large.
BUT, watch the last 4 episodes! They are movie quality directing/lighting/effects, etc. And they really link these two series.

Didn’t realize they named dropped Ashoka. One of my favorite characters in the universe. Can’t wait to see her in a more grown up iteration.
Yes. A few years after Return of the Jedi
Loving how this is all progressing.
I saw the Favreau said he loved how "Game of Thrones" all the parties went separate ways and came back together at various parts. That's where I think we are headed.
Ashoka and her crew (probably with the Child)
Bo and Mando (Gina Carno supposedly has lots to do with Bo as they are scheduled for a show post this season)
I recently read that the events take place 5 years before Force Awakens. So Luke should be off at his Jedi academy training Ben Solo.
I was wondering how they were going to explain how Baby Yoda was not mentioned or involved in the new Star Wars trilogy if he was alive back then. Technically he is still a child so he wouldn't be part of the fight but he obviously wasn't apart of Luke's Jedi academy since it is probably about to fall during the time the show takes place.

You're right my bad.

Honestly I have no idea and no inside info. But with the tracking device, he will find the child. And the child will suffer in their hands. Could see Baby Toda being taken next episode and that uniting a front to get him back. Culminating in a showdown with force sensitive bad guys with the Dark Saber and Mando and Tano.
HOpefully Filoni/Favreau can do to the sequels what Filoni and Lucas did for the prequels with the CW cartoon. Filling it out in a way that improved the overall story. Right now, for me, the Sequels really made for a dreary arc since they undermined every single achievement of the legacy heroes just so the new guys can do the same thing over 30 years later. But by seeing Luke train people and make a difference in this period, it might take a little of the sting off.
But then how bad were the rebel troops in the beginning of A New Hope?
The Stormtroopers plowed through them like they weren't there.
It is very noticeable how big she got in this weeks episode. I was wondering if she was pregnant while filming. Regardless I really like her character.
Also, it’s fucking awesome they are bringing back the Dark Troopers. I played Dark Troopers on original PlayStation back in the mid-90s.
Looks like they cast Rosario Dawson in the role, a bit old, but outside of that perfect casting choice.
I'm hoping it has more to do with Snoke than the Emperor. Snoke really needs more of an explanation at this point. Hopefully they connect the dots.

they have spent a ton of money to make this series look good, but I think Ashoka Tano is a huge challenge. She has a cult following amongst SW fans and she looks incredibly hard to do live action. Could be a disaster.

She is actually the perfect age for the role too. Ashoka is 14 yo at the start of The Clone Wars, which is 22BBY. The Mandalorian takes place 5ABY, which makes Ashoka 41 yo, the same age as Rosario Dawson. (Yes, I'm a huge SW nerd.)

To revive the Emperor, and all of this is going to tie into the last movie

Yesterday's episode clearly connected it to Snoke IMO. Just look at the failed clone experiments in the tanks. They look deformed and a bit like Snoke.

Lol I'd rather see a late 20's/ early 30's woman in that role canon be damned, but god damn it's easy to see why in Favreau we trust. Just crushing all the details.

IMO they are connecting Snoke's creation with Baby Yoda's DNA but I can't imagine the fan reaction if they kill off Baby Yoda.

If you recall, Mando, before he flew off, said that he had to perform some "internal maintenance."
I took this to mean that Mando knows there is a tracking device on board and is ready to make it work for him.
I have to watch the episode again because I can’t recall if Mando spoke about internal maintenance before or after the Child burped up his cookies.
Mando made the maintenance comment after he cleaned up the kid.
I still think he knows that there is a tracker onboard.
We’ll see...
They have monetized the character so much already (especially with children) that I see next to 0% chance that happens.
I do think he will get taken and soon. I think there might be one of those famous Star Wars multi battle scenes in the last or penultimate episode. Getting Yoda back, someone vs Moff Gideon and his troops, Mandalore?

Meaning btw the 2nd Death Star and Kylo Ren ?

I mean is it dickish? A giant part of her job is to look attractive, that goes for man or woman, unless the role really calls for it. Nobody wants to watch a bunch of uggos on tv for 30 minutes.
If her appearance bothers you, that's a you problem. And if you brought it up to her she'd probably beat you to death with your own testicles.

because it seems dickish, but I thought I was nuts watching this episode and thinking she got bigger. Her overall body type is the same, but her arms especially look bigger. they don't look more muscular; quite the opposite and just bigger.

Uggos...haha. Sorry, that was just a funny word to read this morning. And I agree that she has gotten bit bigger. While she has always been attractive in the muscular type of a way, she's gotten a bit bigger recently, it appears.
As far as Gina Carano goes, we'll see if she will actually have a season 3 storyline or even her own spinoff with Disney getting bombarded with a lot of fan hate of her based on her off-camera story.
I personally don't give a shit what her political beliefs is, but Disney is a business that is wholly reliant on its image, so we'll see if it makes a business decision one way or another.

Hey Ronnie!
I don't sympathize with them all that much, but her political beliefs are pretty mainstream in America (even the conspiratorial aspects, unfortunately). And he refusal to put her gender pronouns in response to the social media mob seems like such a small offence. I doubt they'd do much at this point. But who knows?

Hey man...I agree with you. The whole gender pronoun thing appears to be people looking for things to hate on her about. She has plenty of other questionable things for people to latch onto if they so choose, but I won't go political by listing them.
Change of subject. I wonder if we get to see Ashoka Tano wield two lightsabers...that would be awesome.

Uhhh, I would be pissed if we don't! Filoni, I can't see him staying away from that. Ashoka is his baby.

Yes (to just about everything you said!)
Whatever happens, seeing her live will be a little weird, but I hope in a good way. I hope Ashley Eckstein is blessing her from afar.
