you pay him when his contract is due. What's he going to look like when he doesn't have a massive talent advantage? Feel like another 1 and done year for them.

Pederson's press conference tomorrow is going tk be a blood bath. He got snippy with reporters last week and it was really poorly received. After todays performance they're going to hammer him.
I wish I could repost a previous post, but if Jones can dial back the turnovers and gets comfortable behind his OL, Jones is far more attractive as QB.
Wentz, Mayfield suck. Everybody doesnt get a Pat Mahomes. Makes the throws, run when you can, be tough, put some players around him, dance hard techno

Knock on wood, but Jones is already doing that. That sack he took at the end of the Washington game would have been a fumble last year and hes cut down on throwing picks
...if they release him before next year they will have $60 million (!!!) of dead money. So yeah, they aren't getting rid of him.
Realistically they can't get rid of him until after 2022. And he costs so much that they can't afford to get him any quality offensive skill players.
Bummer.
Traded to Colts and they start over with another young QB. They need to rebuild anyway. Wouldn't shock me if it happened. Of course what the hell are you getting for Wentz? If you only have to pay him his salary and not all the bonuses what is that 15 million a year or so? Could see them getting a first for him in this situation.

Who the hell would give up a 1st round pick for him? The Eagles are over $70 million over next years cap so they cannot afford to absorb the cap hit required to trade him.
His plays exemplifies how impactful the QB position is. His decision making is literally taking points off the Eagles side and adding points to the opposition's side.
Almost every week the Eagles can point to specific plays with Wentz that clearly hurt the team.

He is an absolute disaster right now.
They have to be thinking about benching him, right?
They sure as heck don’t make it easy.
Plus 4 missed tackles...not his fault they can’t tackle!
Very good analogy
Speaking about Lamar.

Amusing, if not sad...

Oh, yes it is.
they cant continue to go with him much longer
Yes it fucking is.
And what the hell are the Eagles going to do with Wentz going forward? He is simply horrible.
I think it was actually defensive pass interference, but it was still a terrible throw.
My brother-in-law is an Eagles fan and he wants Wentz benched and for them to get rid of him this offseason.

That's a bad contract.

Yes, he would have been a nice consolation prize at RB in a proper trade down scenario in 2018.

At this point, I would seriously consider benching him. But I have no confidence in Hurts. I think he's very one dimensional.

Haven’t seen him look good except for that 4qtr versus Giants several weeks ago. Not suggesting Hurts is the goods but Wentz looks lost.
The safety he took in the second half was like a rookie playing.
Good for us.
