do any draftnicks out there have a sense of how good the 2021 draft class will be? Will it be a lesser class because of COVID?
Also, what positions are strong in this draft? Our needs are corner, wide receiver, edge rusher, and I see a few top players at those positions, but not a lot of depth. Especially amongst the edge rushers. After Rousseau, who exactly stands out?
It has to be a huge advantage having strong college connections this year.
The Giants have astringent connections to at least Alabama and I believe the SEC and Big 10.
Game tape and being able t talk to people you know and have relationships with will be key,
Not quite sure about the pass rushers, there's a lot that TBD. There are lots of good corners, but not sure there are any top tier guys yet.

Patrick Surtain Jr, Jaycee Horn, Asante Samuel Jr, Caleb Farley are the top guys that I know of. There are a couple more like Jamar Johnson from Indiana and another cat from Kentucky who is supposed to be pretty decent as well in kelvin joseph. Shaun Wade from Oh St has lost himself a ton of money, and has dropped very far on a lot of draft boards, but before that he was considered the no.2 DB, now not so much.
If that's how the draft goes, I'd rather have the edge rusher.

really good QB's, offensive tackles, wide receivers, tight ends, and linebackers.

I do find it interesting that given the way football has changed over the years, with a lot more spread a d zone read offenses, breeds more corners. But I think you helped my point, are any of those corners you mentioned no brainers?

The no-brainer CB’s are Patrick Surtain Jr (DB1 on all boards) Caleb Farley Jaycee Horn and Asante Samuel Jr. Those 4 will go either in the first or second rd.
OL looks on the light side. DT looks terrible. LB will be underclassmen-dependent. Safety is a bit of a question mark for me right now.
Well that lines up quite nicely for us.
If the Giants win the division then I think they draft late in spite of their record.
