Xavier McKinney and Oshane Ximines have been designated for return and will return to practice. Riley Dixon and Casey Kreiter have been activated from reserve.
I'm very excited to see McKinney return. This is the perfect game to ease him back into. I expect him to only play about 25 snaps on Sunday.
Ximines will hopefully help the pass rush and should be an upgrade over Sheard. I just hope that he improved significantly the run because last season he struggled mightily.
move Logan Ryan to CB if McKinney gets up to speed in a hurry opposite Peppers. He was drafted out of Rutgers as a CB and played corner for a while before converting.
He's the most talented OLB on this team and wasn't half bad last year in his rookie year. He's not Jessie Armstead or even close but he knows how to use his hands and can in fact get pressure. He's a 3rd round pick he doesn't have to be amazing to help out here.

This is an underrated comment. The way we are set up, we only need someone out there that can consistent push from the edge. He could certainly be that guy with his strength and technique. Not going to completely stonewall him out of games, opening up the outside for the QB to run.
We will see a lot more 3 safety packages. Also Logan Ryan will likely play more CB. Love will likely see less snaps when McKinney is up to speed.
We are going to see Peppers down in the box on passing downs playing ILB. Adds another dimension to our defense. We could use another ILB thats a range type, but Peppers works as well.

I hope so because Peppers is at his best closer to the LOS.
that so many here are so cynical when it comes to the young talent on this team. It's not like younger players are failing left and right, on the contrary, our player development seems to be pretty good at this moment. I trust the staff if they play a guy he probably should be playing.

we don’t need to move anybody to anything. Throw Logan and McKinney in at safety, have Peppers play the Rover, and have Bradberry, Yiadom/Lewis, and Holmes in at CB. Just matchup and fly all over the damn place.
I doubt we see McKinney for two weeks, Ximines, maybe this week.
Exactly what I was thinking too. McKinney is not ready yet. Giants have 3 weeks to activate him and most likely won't until he's deemed ready to contribute.
I don't agree, X man struggles terribly versus the run, still isn't reading action that well, and not doing much on the pass rush. Carter's the better player, but either way it is not saying much. Neither player is making an impact in the NFL and spending more time being neutralized than anything else.
Nice. :)

Because Jabaal Sheard has been so great?

Wht use a check when you can use an x?
As for OX, I’ve lost any faith I may have expecting him to be the edge we needed. I hope I’m wrong.
