Penalties:
(a) For a forward pass from beyond the line: Loss of down and five yards from the spot of the
pass. See 14-8-2. See S.N. 3 below.
(b) For a second forward pass from behind the line, or for a forward pass that was thrown after
the ball returned behind the line: Loss of five yards
Sorry I’m not getting it. It’s clearly a penalty as you state. I don’t see where it says that the penalty can’t be declined.
he’s been atrocious this year beyond 10 yards. Blueprint was alway out on Brady but it’s more pronounced now - pressure up the middle and you will get a lot of bad throws.
If we do make playoffs, this right here is the team we want to play. Tampa Bay team coming to the northeast in dead of winter that stylistically we are a nightmare for them. Of course, the NFL seems he’ll bent on trying their damndest to get TB into a hometown Super Bowl.

Ray - you are more on top of this than I am. I could be wrong. I didn't think an illegal play is allowed to stand if it is a positive result.
is only a loss of down and spot foul if it's a result of the illegal forward pass coming past the LOS.
If it's a result of a double pass essentially, both being behind the LOS, it can be accepted by the defense or declined by the defense. If the penalty is accepted it's 5 yards from the original LOS and repeat the down.
Item 1: Illegal Passes. Any other forward pass by either team is illegal and is a foul by the passing team, including:
(a) A forward pass thrown when the passer is beyond the line of scrimmage.
Note: It is a forward pass from beyond the line of scrimmage if the passer’s entire body and the ball are beyond the line of scrimmage when the ball is released, whether the passer is airborne or touching the ground. The penalty for a forward pass thrown from beyond the line is enforced from the spot where the ball is released.
Item 2:
(b) (c) (d)
A second forward pass thrown from behind the line of scrimmage.
A forward pass thrown after the ball has crossed the line of scrimmage and has returned behind it.
A forward pass thrown after there has been a change of possession.
Intercepted Illegal Pass. If an illegal pass is caught or intercepted, the ball may be advanced and the penalty declined.
Penalties:
(a) For a forward pass from beyond the line: Loss of down and five yards from the spot of the pass. See 14-8-2. See S.N. 3 below.
(b) For a second forward pass from behind the line, or for a forward pass that was thrown after the ball returned behind the line: Loss of five yards.
(c) For a forward pass that is thrown by Team B, or for a forward pass that is thrown by Team A after a change of possession: Loss of five yards from the spot of the pass.

See my example above. A gain of yardage is not necessarily bad for the defense.
I think teams can always take a play result (except for offsetting penalty situations).
playoffs is a long way away but if we ever did make it I want a TB rematch. Avoiding Rodgers and Wilson would be necessary I think but they can disrupt Brady.
But man..Arians and Leftwich are awful. They can’t help themselves to not go vertical on one drive. 2 min drill you need to just let Brady slice and dice it. Quick slants, screens, etc.
They had that pattern for a stretch in the second half. I think for four straight drives.
Run on first down. Take a deep shot on either 2nd or 3rd down. And no first down conversions on any of those drives.
Let's be fair as well. The Rams are a really good D. Very underrated across all levels. So they deserve a lot of credit for bottling up Brady.

Agreed.
The Rams D is no joke. Aaron Donald is just an absolute best. Guy gets doubled and triple teamed yet still gets pressure on QBs.
I have a weird feeling the Bucs will beat the Chiefs next week. They’ve bounced back pretty well from bad performances. They are so inconsistent that I can see a shootout vs KC who do not have a good pass rush.
I thought that was a fumble live and even on replay. This morning while they were showing highlights I freeze framed it and stepped through each second. It was a clear fumble. His arm was not moving forward when the ball was falling out. His hand was still behind his shoulder. I still can't believe they ruled that an incomplete pass. I hate playing conspiracy nut, but it always seems Brady gets the favorable calls
they look very good. 2007 NYG good. No real weakness and so tough and physical up front. Good WRs. Good passing game. Just solid in every area. They will kick the snot out of the Saints in January even if it's in NO. Tampa is winning games but overrated in my view. They are a downhill team that doesn't seem to respond well when punched in the mouth. I also don't think Brady looks that great.
Rams Chiefs. Pitt loses a heartbreaker at home in January because Mahomes is the ultimate equalizer.

It could result in 4th and 8 vs 3rd and 15 and the defense would want 4th and 8, for example.

We should have beat the Bucs earlier this year. I feel they are overrated by the analysts.
Quite frankly the Giants Oline looked better than the Bucs line and our line is much better now.

What a dick, does he generally do this, even after wins.
Go shake the kid's hand, you beat him the SB..........now he gets a small measure of revenge.
Brady's two pics were related to him not seeing a safety...weird. I wonder if the end is coming sooner than later..........
