Predict The NFC EAST standings and Winner

RELICDOA : 11/24/2020 12:32 pm
NYG 7-9 Division Winner
Dal 6-10
Phil 5-10-1
Wash 4-12

I have us beating:
* Bengals
* Browns
* Cardinals
* Dallas
Losing:
& gt;Sea
& gt;Bal

I wouldnt be surprised if we beat Sea or Bal and lose to Cardinals and Browns regardless I think we win 2/4 games and beat Bengals and Cowboys

Last game of the year gets flexed to primetime... big ratings for NBC with everything on the line

I think the Skins are underrated
djm : 11/24/2020 12:35 pm : link
and I need to see Dallas lose on thursday before I shovel dirt on them. I thought they were done but that was a good win for Dallas in Minny. Gotta give them credit.

I do think Philly is done. They aren't any good. Wentz is a wreck.

Skins play good D evidenced by their high pass D ranking. They can run the ball. They have Alex Smith at QB. If they beat Dallas they are right there in this thing.

Funny how those 2 wins over the Skins don't seem to useless anymore. And if they win on thursday they are huge.
OK, I'll Play

NYG 6-10 Div Winner (split w/Dallas, Giant 4-2 in NFC East)
Dal 6-10
Phil 5-10-1
Wash 4-12

I have us beating:
* Bengals
* Browns
* Cowboys

Losing:
Seahawks
Cardinals
Ravens

Giants vs Browns in probably the key game for the division.
Dallas is in the driver's seat.
FStubbs : 11/24/2020 1:19 pm : link
They have a functioning NFL QB again and have the easiest schedule.

They do have to win Thursday though.
7-9 will need to win the division..
Sean : 11/24/2020 1:24 pm : link
I don’t see 6-10 winning it. Let’s go with this:

NYG: 7-9
DAL: 6-10
WAS: 6-10
PHI: 5-10-1

Giants beat Cin, Cle, Bal & Dallas. I’m giving them the Baltimore win with the assumption they continue to fade and are not playing for anything. Thus, let’s root for Pittsburgh Thursday.
I just want the Week 17 game to be meaningful...
Big Blue Blogger : 11/24/2020 2:25 pm : link
... preferably with the Giants controlling their fate. That said:
NYG 6-10-0
DAL 6-10-0
WAS 6-10-0
PHI 5-10-1
Not really a prediction so much as an acknowledgment that the whole division is manure.
ESPN Matchup Predictor
shyster : 11/24/2020 3:01 pm : link
My prediction wouldn't be any better than anybody else's, so here's the result of ESPN's game-by-game analysis.

PHI 5-10-1
NYG 5-11
WFT 4-12

And those records are based on those three teams going 3-0 vs Dallas, which is predicted to lose every game and finish 3-13.

If Dallas exceeds that prediction with Dalton back, then the other NFCE teams are going to have to find wins elsewhere just to meet their own predicted finishes.

An example of the predictor is linked for the NYG-CIN game.

I hate to admit it

But Dallas coming out and beating a hot Minnesota team is a bad sign for us. Andy Dalton looked more than competent, and they have plenty of playmakers on that side of the ball. I think we finish 2nd and Dallas takes it.
Yup
Carl in CT : 11/24/2020 3:35 pm : link
Dallas for me. I just hope the last game means something.
Unfortunately I think those saying Dallas is prob the correct choice
RELICDOA : 11/24/2020 3:39 pm : link
I'll be pulling for Washington on turkey day for sure!!!
we finish 9 & 7
Tom from LI : 11/24/2020 3:40 pm : link
and run through the playoffs only to lose to the Chiefs 20-17 in OT in the Super Bowl.

This is the right summary IF they win on Thursday.

We need more chaos, which requires WFT to beat Dallas on Thursday...
I had an eagle fan friend wish us luck this year

He didn't want to have a first place schedule next year coming off such a lousy season. :)
If the Giants beat any team with a winning record --
gidiefor : Mod : 11/24/2020 4:03 pm : link
and still look like they are in it, I may start getting more excited about this. I loved seeing them beat the Eagles, but the Eagles aren't very good. I agree that they didn't exactly dominate Washington, but in both games they showed a really good running game.

I'll be there with bells on watching them every Sunday and hoping for improvements and some good football, but I still need to see stuff to start entertaining the idea of playoffs.

it is more likely that Dallas will take the division right now, based on schedule, but if Andy Dalton gets hurt and the Giants can show a power running game against the Cards, Seattle or the Ravens -- I will start investing
We're gonna beat the Cardinals?
cjac : 11/24/2020 4:04 pm : link
How are we going to do that?

I think we have a better chance of beating the Ravens, they are playing like ass this year

6-10 will win the division for us. It won't for the Boys, they'll need to finish 7-9 aka beating us. It's more than likely going to come down to that last game. I can't believe the Eagles are still pretty favored to win the division. That blows my mind.

A team from the desert is playing in NJ in December against a team they will not be able to stop on the ground. Why is this hard to fathom? Warm weather teams historically are pretty poor in the elements and Cold weather teams usually suck in hot areas early on.

They can run the ball with Murray, Drake, and Edmonds. They killed us on the ground last year and that was late in the season. No guarantee the weather will be complete crap.
It would APPEAR that with a healthy Dalton, excellent receivers
Big Blue '56 : 11/24/2020 4:19 pm : link
and Zeke, Dallas would have the edge.
Dallas has the easiest schedule
Gman11 : 11/24/2020 4:33 pm : link
and Dalton is one of the better backup QBs.

I don't see the Giants with more than 2 wins - Bengals and Cowboys. All the other teams left on the schedule are playoff teams.
Prediction
Simms2McConkey : 11/24/2020 5:13 pm : link
1. NYG 6-10
2. WFT 6-10
3. DAL 6-10
4. PHI 3-12-1

NYG win division on head-to-head tiebreaker at 3-1. WFT 2-2, DAL 1-3

NYG W: CIN, CLE, DAL L: SEA, ARI, BAL
WFT W: DAL, CAR, PHI L: PIT, SF, SEA
DAL W: PHI, SF, CIN L: WFT, NYG, BAL
PHI L: DAL, WFT, SEA, GB, ARI, NO
If Dallas wins Thursday
Matt M. : 11/24/2020 5:31 pm : link
I think they win the division with 6 or 7 wins. If they lose, I think we win the division with 6 wins, including a clincher against Dallas to close the season.
The Giants will own the tiebreaker against Dallas..
Sean : 11/24/2020 5:48 pm : link
So, if the Giants are a game behind Dallas entering week 17, they could still win the division.

They run the ball based on what they can do in their pass game, but thats beside the point. We are going to completely bull them up front on offense. They are very undersize defense.

What does the weather being crap have to do with anything. It's more than likely going to be very cold for an Arizona team. Regardless, the poster was acting like we don't have a chance which is ridiculous when you consider the circumstances and matchup.

So? Playoff teams never lose to teams with poorer records?

Dallas will have a one game lead going into that game, but a Giant win gives them the tiebreaker.

Dallas

Consider though that Boys came off the bye while Vikes had a short week. Plus, Vikes were 1-5 at one point. They're not that good this year.
interesting

Giants could continue to get better or regress ?

let see after this weeks game with Bengals . it will be a great test to see if this team puts away a team they are expected to beat .
I think we end up at 6-10.

Division possible or not, they are still a sub .500 team. But, this week is one game where there should be no moral victories, no ugly win, any win is a win, etc. This is one of the few teams, especially with no Burrow, that is definitively worse than us and we need to not only win, but truly beat them. That is what is needed for this team to begin taking the next step.
