NFT: Big Little Lies Season 2

I don’t know a ton of people who watched this show, despite its popularity, so this will seem like a strange one off thread but for those of you who saw the show were you also incredibly disappointed with the second season? I thought the first season was really well acted and written but the second season is hot doo doo fire.

I know it was meant to be a limited series but I can’t believe how badly they pooched this one.

I think it is one of those shows that you tune in to see the cast. The first season was better but I do not think the second season was awful.

The few people I have spoken with about this show share your sentiments. I couldn’t get over how badly the writing forced the character tropes on you in s2.

Anyone watching The Undoing? It's essentially this show on East Coast, although more about murder. Last episode was a nuke dropper!

Wasn't it originally only supposed to be one season?

Plus they wanted to go with that whole female empowerment thing and tried a female director, who sucked, and HBO being the titans they are recognized it, and saved it halfway through the season by taking over. The first few episodes were such garbage in S2.

Season 2 certainly wasn’t as good,

but the acting and chemistry was still excellent with Nicole Kidman and Alexander Skarsgard.

I didn't know about Season 2. I'll take a look.

It seemed superfluous and shoe-horned. I think I counted it out during a a scene with the psychologist that rang hollow. But if it's true that it gets better maybe I'll dive back in.
