the game is still on.
Love Saban

Hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.
So is this a second time contracting Covid?

Or was the "first" time really negative?

First was a false positive.

At his age, even with just mild symptoms now, he could still be dead by the end of the week.
If the first time it was a false positive how do we know it's not
BestFeature : 11/25/2020 1:28 pm : link
a false positive again? More so wondering about the effectiveness of these tests.
Not a Saban fan,

but feel better coach!
Elon Musk had cold like symptoms, so he took the Becton Dickinson test
BocaGene : 11/25/2020 1:43 pm : link
Four times that day,
Same test,
Same machine,
Same Nurse,
2 Positives + 2 Negatives
He then said, "There is something extremely bogus going on".

The rapid tests have a ~30% false negative rate. At that false negative rate that outcome wouldn't be uncommon.

He could also get hit by a bus or struck by lightning but that's pretty unlikely as well. The treatment he has access to and the current strain that is around in most places makes him dying from Covid highly unlikely.

This is true. A lot of people seem to have trouble getting that, but I bet his doctors are all over it.

Thanks. I never knew that. I remember he needed to have something like three straight day of negative testing to coach against Georgia...?

But I thought he was coming out of actually having the virus...

bw, he had a positive test (later discovered a false positive) and was ruled out to coach against Georgia at first. Then he needed and had 3 consecutive negatives to be able to go, last one was on Saturday morning IIRC and made the trip 2 hours before the game.
