Personally, couldn’t agree more. But, should we opt to go the FA route, these are who they’d consider.

We should be doing with our FA money is resigning DT and Leo. Get our WRs in the draft, along with our DBs. Then see who is left to sign at edge in FA

This is DG's chance to shine. Those FAs are known quantities; signing one is no great insight/accomplishment. He needs to unearth some relatively cheap gems, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I would like to see the Giants add Golladay in FA and then address Edge rusher, CB, WR, TE, and ILB in the draft. Even if they did add Golladay I would like to see the Giants add another WR to the depth chart in rounds 3-6.
I really liked King coming out of Washington - sort of Corner U - and think he still has a lot of upside. Just has this latest issue with the Achilles. So it will be interesting to see how that plays out.

If it’s an issue, then no. We’ve been down that route more than I’ve liked. Let’s not start behind the 8-ball anymore, if possible
Then we will know where to focus
It’s great not to have so many needs on the list
Good plan. I agree.
I'd be in on Godwin if available but he would probably cost a ton and with the upcoming draft being so deep (so I hear) at WR I think it makes more sense to look in that direction. Plus with Barkely coming back next year it should give the WR's more space to work with.
Look at how guys like CeeDee Lamb and Justin Jefferson have performed as rookies this year. Add that production to what we already have at WR, then throw Barkley back in the mix and we're cooking.
No. They need to draft the best of ILB, ER, WR or CB. And that goes for any round. Do not reach for a ER when a CB or ILB who is superior is available.
Right now they have five picks 1,2,3,4,6. 5 goes to Jets and 7 to the Broncos, IIRC
Quote:
they have to draft a premium ER in the first round - they have to sign a decent vet CB and they have to draft a WR either 2nd or 3rd round in a WR rich draft that will be a standout -- DT is in the mix too in that range

They acquired Arizona's 7th round pick for Markus Golden. So they have 6 picks now. There's still some question about whether they'll need to send their 5th or even 4th rounder to the Jets to conclude the Williams trade, because Williams has never hit FA status.
I agree that it doesn't make sense to go after PatPete (mostly because Getty just paid Bradberry and I think we're ok at the position, perhaps a nickel if anything. But PatPete is still playing at an elite level and is one of the best CBs in the NFL. Whoever said otherwise hasn't watched his battles with Metcalf.

Golden netted a 6th rounder in the trade.
THAT was funny. Well played...:)
1 out of these WR's - Will Fuller, Kenny Golladay, or Corey Davis
Target OLB Hassan Reddick. He is a perfect fit for their defense. If the Giants miss out on him then go after Ryan Kerrigan on a 1-2 year deal. I know that he is over 30 but used correctly he is still a very good pass rusher. He would serve as a temporary stopgap.
He's a former Western Michigan teammate of Sam Beal too, FWIW.
According to Sportac Davis' estimated market value is ~8 mil per year (compared with Allen Robinson's 18 mil per). So unloading Tate and adding Davis would be about the same yearly cost, maybe even a savings.
I don't know boo about his game, but he hasn't played with a decent QB until Tannehill. Could he thrive in Garrett's system?
So it adds up in theory to a choice of Robinson/Golladay or Davis plus Tomlinson.
That's a no brainer, IMO, despite the higher risk of Davis vs the other top WR.
