Will COVID be the determining factor in the NFC East winner?

JohnB : 11/27/2020 3:15 am
All these teams are close and if any these teams start losing players, it could completely sink their chances of winning. Who can afford to lose their starting QB (like the Ravens did)and still win? Who can afford to have their OLine take a hit and still win? Even if the lose is for only a game or two, it could be enough to tip the balance of power.

When we try to figure out who has the best shot at winning, we factor in things like strength of schedule, current wins and loses, tie breakers etc but in this crazy 2020, staying COVID safe might be a huge factor in winning the NFC East race.

Injuries, Covid to them, Covid to others

will all impact the race. I do think the league is running a very fine line here as infection rates (just the number of people infected not sick, dying etc)rise. The last 4 games of the season could see teams going into a bubble situation but certainly playoff time.

There are games, it is what it is, not spending time or energy thinking about this dam virus.

To your question, games lost to injury are always a factor in sports
This doesn’t surprise me in the least.

I’m just almost shocked there was even a season. I never really thought there would be, or more than just a few games before they would have to shut down the season..

I just thought it would have happened sooner. I was CLEARLY wrong, by A LOT!

If the Giants win, No.

If anybody else wins, Hell yes.

Dallas and Washington will both have very long weeks while their opponents have short weeks. Washington will certainly be an underdog, and I assume Dallas as well though I suppose it depends on who's still out for BAL, but COVID has certainly become a big factor for at least one week in the NFC East.
