Filoni really opened up the universe in this episode.
Some huge nets just got cast.
Ashoka was great to see live, She did not look ridiculous and seeing her with the Non Jedi White sabers was fresh!
Michael Biehn, always enjoy watching him work.
So.. Thrawn? That's hardcore Rebels universe they are about to get into. That means Ezra, Sabine. Thrawn and Ezra are together as fas I recall.
And Thyton? That's old SW lore as well, where the Jedi were initially amassed.
What Jedi will come for Grogu? Will Luke show up? I could see it in the last episode. We all know how unhappy Hamill was with how they ended Luke in the films. Might be a great way to redeem the character in the eyes of the fans.
Thoughts?
Rosario Dawson was great as Ashoka Tano
Of course Moff Gideon is likely to catch up with these guys before that happens anyways.
I think thats what all the fans want but I think they might try de-aging Mark Hamill.
Rosario Dawson was great as Ashoka Tano
Plus they gave him that Tombstone shoutout "Quarrels not with you..."

At one point I thought Mando was gonna say “I’m your huckleberry”
They did a great job with Ahsoka, not easy to bring a character with as much history as she has (100+ animated shows, a book, etc..) and not disappoint and they def did not.
You bring Luke back, that's how!

Name dropping Thrawn was great. The Thrawn trilogy was a great series and it gives them so many options but Luke is a huge part of that so I don’t know how they move forward with that.

As they continually open up this show within the Star Wars universe and with these events taking place so close to the time when Luke/Han/Chewie/Leia scored their big win over Death Star 2 at some point there has to be some crossover. The Star Wars universe cannot operate like this just 5 years after ROTJ and have zero involvement with the most important people in the rebellion. I think we see Luke at the very least soon.
Last nights episode was tremendous. Dawson was fantastic. They are consistently upping the bar.
Seems like that’s where it’s heading. Rebels ended with Ahsoka searching for Ezra who was with Thrawn....now we see Ashoka and she’s asking for information on Thrawn. Also her comment to Din and Grogu about the temple and saying there aren’t many Jedi left to me was hinting towards Ezra as well, how many other Jedi is she aware of that are still out there?
Dawson was awesome as Ahsoka. I have loved this season even more than last. But, the deeper we get, and even with Ezra making sense right now, it is getting harder and harder to picture this story proceeding without even a mention of Luke (and other saga heroes). I know the EU was supposedly wiped out. But, how can any story a mere 5 years after ROTJ, especially one involving Jedi, not include Luke? How can they not even be mentioned? At this point they were still fighting splinter cells of the Empire and helping to build the New Republic. I know this isn't the Skywalker saga, but these seem like they would be central figures in the very story developing.
just incredible show after show ..
just incredible show after show ..
But with how this story is going I feel like I need to watch them. Thoughts???
Should be easy to read enough material that dealt with the biggest story lines to get a good idea what went on if you don't want to watch.

Started watching last season of Clone Wars. I’ll decide on Rebels after that. Gives me and the 12 year old something to do on nights the wife is at work.
For those that were saying Sebastian Stan could/should be Luke. Check out this fan made poster. Link below.
Stan and Luke - ( New Window )

All you need is the last 4 episodes of TCW. The last 4 episodes are peak Star Wars, better than even the Mandalorian.
I think it's Luke. I think it will be some sort of cliffhanger.
I think Ahsoka will have a spinoff, although I think she comes back to help Mando at the end of this season.

That’s a huge investment of time. I tried doing Clone Wars during the beginning of the pandemic and just couldn’t get in to it. The 100+ episodes seemed like too daunting of a task.

I am going to take this advice...
I love the Mandalorian but have not watched TCW. Recent episodes suggest that I won't truly enjoy it unless I have some context/background in TCW first....

They are about 30 mins each, so you will in essence be watching a feature film. Please come back to thank me after you've watched it!
I am wondering if they are going to have Grogu eventually end up at the Jedi academy that Luke sets up where Ben Solo turns to the dark side and him and the Knights of Ren kill the other students including Grogu. This would obviously not be a popular decision but it would explain why Grogu wasn't in the new trilogy especially if he is being trained by a Jedi during that period.
I guess i could see it being say Ezra and he travels with them for a season. THing is we just dont know what Filoni has planned for the plethora of characters he seems ready to introduce into live action.

We started the entire final season. 6 episodes in. Its a good show. Saw the second to last episode is about order 66. Super stoked to see them.
Also, Vader assumed she was dead when he found her lightsaber at a star destroyer crash site so she wasn't hunted like other Jedi who survived Order 66.

DON'T read what I just posted! In my defense, the thread is clearly marked as having spoilers.

This was a very very good suggestion. I watched the last 4 eps of TCW last night. So great. very dark, i loved it.
i actually watched the entire last season but the last 4 episodes is like a movie on its own and i feel like it just should have been a seperate movie to close out TCW. Very well done though.
