he without the added element of his mobility. Going to be a pure pocket passer. Guess it's good for his development, but not for our chances of winning the East.
Looked like he was less mobile than Eli was at the end. And, looked like he couldn’t plant his foot to get any zip on the ball. If the medical people said he could go back in, something is very wrong.

Yeah I’d love to see that “source” because there’s no way it’s true

Judge said the trainers cleared Jones to go back into the game. He also said Jones will have an MRI tomorrow

but with limited mobility. Just running the offense from the pocket without attempting RPOs, etc.
While every hamstring injury is different, I have had my share. With best in class treatment from a professional sports organization, I think it is highly probably that he could play in a limited capacity next week.
He was walking around on the sideline, so I doubt he misses more than

Really doubt this, and Vacchiano (and JJ) are spinning a nice tune.
It was a serious injury, that might have been aggravated when they put him back in. I say he misses two games, minimum, and even if back in week 15, he will not be the threat he is when healthy and def coordinators will plan accordingly to bottle up the run.
this is who he is and how he needs to be right now. An injury can happen on any run play.
Hopefully it’s a mild to moderate strain.
Unfortunately, that KR TD, was a catalyst for a lot of bad stuff today. Doubt we see him running as much if we don't give that up. Crazy he pulled his hamstring on that one though, just didn't seem like the type of play for it to happen. Maybe it was tweaked on a prior play. Sometimes there could be a strain and then putting a lot of power pressure on it can cause it to tear, that would be my best guess.
but the overall point is he’s going to be running this year so something like this was likely to happen. It is what it is.
I’d be pissed if it was a designed run up 3 scores with a 5 minutes left in the game, but this isn’t something I’m going to play the hindsight game with since he’s running 7-10 times per game.
Daniel Jones’s legs are a vital part of this offense.
He’s well on his way to being a good NFL quarterback, but you take his legs away with this line and skill group right now, and the offensive situation would be ugly.
He’s got to run the ball. It’s shame he pulled his hamstring, but that’s no reason to stop running him or to second guess the approach.
what the MRI says. He can get treatment this wee and they can wrap it tight. It will be uncomfortable and his mobility will be compromised, but if he can throw the ball, that will be the key to whether or not he'll be able to play. Not being able to drive the ball will be a deciding factor on if he can play or not

Yup. The lesson here is we need two mobile backup quarterbacks. That should be an off-season priority.
that’s being kind..It’s not as if McCoy is incapable of moving the team..My major concern as it would be if DJ was in there, is Russell Wilson and that O

The hamstring isn't about limited mobility. If he injured his hamstring, even a minor injury, it needs to completely heal. With a hamstring injury, as you saw, he can't push off when throwing and he can't fully extend or open up the leg. That means any kind of movement will be limited, not just his ability to run. It also means he is highly likely to further injure the leg. I would be shocked if he played next week. Multiple weeks out, even with a minor injury, is not out of the question.
next week was a long shot. But, even now, I don't find the odds much different. The D would have to play a perfect game to have a shot. Arizona, right now, I see as winnable, even without Jones if we run the ball and play strong D.
Honestly, what are realistic options for a backup QB next week?
Is Thorson our only real option? If a player is on another team's roster or practice squad, are they eligible for next week if they are picked up with the 6 days negative COVID requirement? OR does that 6 days start on the new team's roster, regardless of whether they were on a roster previously?
How everyone knows what his prognosis is already. Breathe, relax, the fact that Jones was walking on the sidelines was a good sign, but you won't have any idea how this will go until maybe Tues or Wed. earliest

How in the hell is a PS player from another team going to learn this offense in 6 days while going through COVID protocols?
Get real. McCoy probably starts, Thorson as backup unless Jones is only partial injured.
I'd be shocked if they go 0-4 with him healthy. The defense has been stellar and he's been heating up.
But I do have some experience with hamstrings.
They suck.
THey aint going 0-4 WITH Jones. THey just might without him.

Agree. I would be shocked if he plays in the next 2 games.
Well he did go back in, and couldn’t apply any pressure on it. Did you watch?

Hammies suck, for sure. Whether or not Jones can play, it’s probably the kind of thing that won’t really heal until the offseason for him

it is a hamstring and not an ACL. The bad thing is those hamstring injuries can linger ...
What the hell was he doing running? That looked like a design play to me. Why? Gallman was doing fine.
Remember when Fassel let Sehorn return punts? Good bye Sehorn - for that season.

That’s a completely out of left field comparison. Sehorn never returned kicks. Jones runs all the time.
It may have escaped your notice but Jones is this team’s leading rusher.

I don't care what Jones is - he shouldn't be. If they keep running him by design he will miss games.
Other people on the team can run the ball.
